also in response to those questioning the speed adequacy. I was told that in the next couple months they will be offering higher speeds at the current prices. Currently Im recieving substanitally higher speeds than advertised on my plan. just an fyi, youll more than likely be getting higher than theyre advertising currently.
edit - i live in the phoenix area and Im getting what the above poster shows for a premier plan, while on a preferred plan.
I'm part of the 98% of the SD community who never posts, replies, or does anything other than take deals like a snake. This deal was so awesome, i felt compelled to post and let everyone know what happened with this transactions. I've been on SD for a couple years now and this is my first ever post.
Deal Info- Ive been a Cox customer for exactly 1 year. i called the posted number, told them i received a promotion in the mail about a free ps3 if I upgrade to the preferred plan (or whatever its called) she asked for my name and address and said "yes you are eligible for the free ps3 if you upgrade from the cheapest plan ($30/month @ 1.5mbps) to $45/month@13 mbps.
Boom, done deal. She said to look for an email that will be sent to me March 1st that has my promo code for the free ps3. I have 30days to cancel the contract with no repercussions, or else its $300 bucks. This deal worked out perfect for me. Thanks SD community.
What about existing customers? Let's say I am an existing customer and I upgrade to a higher level of internet service. Would I qualify for that or is this another deal where the existing customers get screwed?
Just called ...got sent to customer loyalty...told me the PS3 deal was by invitation only and that I needed the "code" he also thought the deal was expired. Anyway threatened to leave my bundled service and was offered the following:
$10 off my internet for 12 months
$10 off my cable for 12 months
25% off my phone for the next 6 months
Total Savings: $284.94
Not bad since I have no use for the PS3
Holy shit, I already spend that much for my 20Mbit connection. I wish i was in arizona /cry
Feel better my friend, I have AT&T, Pay $39/mo for 1.5....and they locked out our area against competition, so my only other option is Dish network @ $99/mo... God bless America, huh...
iPodd Touch with the Signing Time Application Contest (2009)-
$10 to webstore + Signing Time iPhone App
Nintendo Wii - Ubisoft Wii a day in December (2006)
$100 - KLOS Work Force
(5) Movie Tickets - Blingo
Sony PSP - Freepay.com
so i called them up and they were all like let me transfer you to customer loyalty department who was all like ok i'll get you this deal let me send you to sales to get you signed up then sales was all like you didn't get an invite from sony sent in the mail to take part in this deal so you can't have it. So has anyone gotten this to go through without an invite? Wondering if this lady was just being stingy.
I am an existing customer (not on contract) and I called up and got the deal.
I had to agree to a 1 year contract but I'm happy with the service and plan on having internet anyway.
Also, she told me that on the 31st day, I will get the promo email for the PS3 and there is a $40 shipping and handling fee! I figured $40 for a PS3 is not bad. I hadn't seen anyone else mention the $40 though.
BTW: I didn't mention an email or promo, I just said PS3 and they transfered me.
