Thread Details

Hi all,

Just picked up a Ramset RS22 .22 Caliber Single Shot Tool (link [homedepot.com])) at Home Depot in NJ for 39.98. If the link doesn't work search for Ramset RS22. These run $77 bucks on amazon [amazon.com]. Good deal if you are going to be shooting nails into concrete! Sku on my receipt is 092097500884

Not to hijack, but a better deal is the Remington .27 semi-auto @ Lowe's. Been on clearance for about half a year, but they're $55 less a $10 off coupon makes them $45. Great tool at a great buy (msrp of $300).

Can't help you there bud... wave

That's because it's closeout...thus the 80% off. Why do you need the link? The closeout is at the store. They are still available in Wisconsin at a couple of locations.

jfyi: Remington got out of the powder actuated tool business...thus the closeout half a year ago.

They had some sort of large model at my local HD store. It was a Ramset I think, but it was all orange and was marked down to $99 I think. It could be the .27 one like the Remington discussed above. I'll try find an sku when I hit it up later this afternoon. We are going to be finishing our basement soon and it would come in handy. Cheers!

Yeah, I think that was the Cobra model. I saw it for that price but decided to go with the cheaper one since I won't use it that much...unless my pesky neighbor continues throwing stuff over the fence.....EEK!

....masonary often, much quicker and probably safer than using the old school hammer and nails....

Could this be used to hang a gutter on a stucco wall? Or should I use concrete screws for that instead?

It could, but you'd probably end up shooting the nail right through the wall. Stucco is thin and fragile (it's a veneer...a coating). There is invariably wood behind stucco, so I would pre-drill each hole and use a galvanized or stainless wood screw so as to night damage the stucco.
