thanks. i've never thought about that. i've only heard of it and thought it may be another paypal w/o the fees. how does mazon make money from it
Don't know. I guess maybe just generating traffic to their website...or maybe they will roll out the fees later, although it has been around for a while.

edit: Upon further research you may not be able to use amazon gift cards for amazon payments transfers. I couldn't find a definitive answer after a quick search. You may want to look further.

I'm about to buy an engagement ring. It's going to run ~10K. I have a Starwood card and a Barclays NFL Visa. I'm a homeowner already.

I'm looking for a new card to put this charge on. I'd like the ability to carry this balance for 12 months at 0% APR. Some cashback or other rewards would be great too.

Thoughts?

Chase slate...0% balance transfer for 15 months, $0 transfer fee.

I don't think you can really get any cashback or rewards for balance transfers afaik.

Sorry, should have been clearer. I was looking for a new card to get and then make this purchase with, not a card to transfer to. I guess I could just pick up the chase slate and put it on my starwood card, then make the transfer. But I thought I might be able to make out better with an introductory offer of some kind.

Well, I think if you got the southwest card and got an amazon card for $500 you could send amazon payments for $500 to someone you know.

IIRC they stopped allowing you to transfer cash from your CC with Amazon Payments.

Or get a physical card and sell it on ebay/plasticjungle. You should get close to face value if it's the cash you need.

Hi, I just finished my refi and i'm looking for any good airline bonus cards. My last card was a British Airways card which gave me an obscene number of miles for nearly nothing. Prior to that I had a AA card from Amex that also did similar results.

I haven't been able to look around lately but what are the odds that something like that comes through soon?

Anyone know what the best card is for signup bonuses? Preferably no annual fee. I can't get a Chase card because I have an Amazon card and they don't like issuing two cards to own person (I've been denied like the past 4 times I've asked with all the reps saying "it looks here like you have an account with us already..."). If there's not a good one with a bonus, what's the best non-Chase cashback card? Citi Forward good?

Any recommended card that's great for gas or general paying bills and grocery shopping (costco)? Currently only have a chase Freedom. Considering Discover or AMEX. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am actually in the same boat, AMEX Blue seems like a good option I got a direct mail offer for $250 cash after spending 500 in the first 3months

Think I will pull the trigger on that one so I'll have two visa, one amex.
