User Submitted Deal Sites

LatestHotelsDeals.com [LatestHotelsDeals.com] This site searches and compares Expedia, Hotels.com, Booking.com, Holiday Inn, Priceline, lastminute.com, Marriot and more so you can always get the best price.
www.kayak.com
www.yapta.com Yapta is still BETA... it cannot store information on most airlines. But it will search for your BOUGHT tickets as well, and get you a refund if the price goes down. This is the only site that will do that.

www.farecompare.com

www.travel-ascending.com/ Travel-Ascending Discount Travel
www.cheapoair.com [cheapoair.com]
http://www.cheapflights.com/
http://www.bookingbuddy.com/
http://www.igougo.com/ [igougo.com] Opens up new airline sites in popups (for thorough searches)

http://www.usairwaysvacations.com/ has good vacation package rates that don't show up on the travel searches

http://www.allinclusiveoutlet.com/- have not seen any prices better than this site

www.tripalertz.com [tripalertz.com] this site has great deals they are somewhat new but have gotten a lot of press check it out
you do have to sign up first, but they will not spam you.

http://www.missiontravel.org/- If you are ever going on a humanitarian or mission trip (working with some kind of a non-profit), don't book your airfare until you've checked missiontravel.org first. With contracts from airlines for (oftentimes significantly) lower fares if it qualifies as a humanitarian flight. They can also book air originating from any country, not just the USA.

Don't forget to click through E Bates or Shop At Home for cashback!

Can I add my little area of specialty? ...... Disney Smilie

www.mousesavers.com
www.wdwinfo.com (this site also has informational message boards)

these 2 sites are an absolute MUST if you are planning a trip to Disney World or Disneyland. You can find info on saving tons of money on your trip, including discounts on Disney onsite Resorts as well as Disney Theme Park passes.

A few more sites that may be of interest...

Printable travel coupons:

Attractions, Hotels/Motels, etc.
Destination Coupons http://www.destinationcoupons.com/

Hotel/Motel coupons:
Roomsaver http://www.roomsaver.com/
Motel-Coupons.com http://www.motel-coupons.com/
Travel Coupons.com http://www.travelcoupons.com/
ATSI Coupons (central/midwest) http://www.atsicoupons.com/
and http://www.ehotelcoupons.com/ which is also ATSI, but is now branching out to the whole US.

Traveler Discount Guide http://www.travelerdiscountguide.com/ Hotel discount coupon booklet lists where you can pick the booklet up for free.

Good sites for general travel information and deals:
Smarter Travel http://www.smartertravel.com/
Virtual Tourist http://www.virtualtourist.com/

Since Las Vegas seems to be one of the 'in' destinations lately, here are a few
Las Vegas specific travel info and discount sites:

And since Walt Disney World and Orlando are also some of the most desired/requested vacation places on here these days, here are a couple more travel and discount sites specifically for
Walt Disney World and Orlando/Florida:

And for car rentals, these sites usually have a fairly decent listing of current discounts and/or coupons: RentalCars.com [rentalcars.com] and http://www.rentalcarmomma.com/. And the mousesavers site that Brisar mentioned, above, usually has current rental car discount coupons and codes, which are not necessarily just for WDW.

Also, dont forget that most cities' visitors/tourist centers have local travel guides and/or coupons that can be seen online or at least ordered, usually for free. Just do a search for your city/state and include visitor bureau, tourist or travel.

I too shall share:

I use this site to find last minute airfares http://www.smartertravel.com/air/search/

You can even subscribe to recieve an email telling you what the airfares are for that weekend (it comes on Wednesday)

And to elaborate on finding the best deals on travelocity, try the last minute specials here:
http://travelocity.lmdeals.com/?S...RAVELOCITY

If 2 of you are traveling, one of you get the flight and hotel, and the other get the flight and car !! Works great !!

The federal government has an unofficial but related group which collects travel deals for its employees, civilian and military. I don't know if any authority will request a government badge id when you buy, board, etc., but registration requires a .gov or .mil email address. For such people:

http://www.res99.com/nexres/start...elpage.cgi - DoD's Fedweek
http://www.govarm.com/ - other federal agencies
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/sh...p?t=312559 - amazing list of MR resources longer than this thread even

Requesting thread clean up for spammy posts in this popular thread.
