rome2rio.com

Great site to find the cheapest way to get to your destination. Calculates Taxi, Bus, Airlines, Trams, Subways, ect.

Fairly new but very helpful for budget travelers that are looking for the absolute cheapest from Point A to B and dont mind mixed modes of transportation.

Once you get down to the keys, it's mainly a one lane highway that could have major delays if there is an accident or a lot of traffic. There are occasional passing lanes, but a lot of traffic is fairly common, with delivery trucks and people towing boats. Avoiding weekend warrior traffic will help. But it's a nice drive with some pretty scenery, especially if you don't live in the tropics.

Agree with ^

Unless you're flying into KW, driving from Miami is likely the best choice. Also, check out flights to Ft. Lauderdale, about 45min away and may have cheaper fares. Stopping in Islamorada is a great way to break up the trip and there is great food and shopping to be had (Check out Latitude 25 store and World Wide Sportsman). In Islamorada, Island Grill has a killer happy hour and appetizers (conch fritters, peel-n-eat-shrimp, wings, etc).

On the drive to KW, check out the tourist info center as they will have great selection of coupons (lots of 2for1 drinks). If you've not seen it before, the sunset festival at mallory square is a fun and free attraction. Free parking in the back of the Truman Annex and is quite a convenient walk to Duval. Hope this helps!

And if you like sushi, their tuna nachos are fantastic!! Goes well with a key lime martini drool

We've used www.Vactionstogo.com for years. Very reliable company, helpful service.

Honestly, some of the cruise ship deals right now are stupid cheap. Sometimes less than $50/nt. per person. Given that it includes all your food, your room etc. they are killer deals. The cruise lines now have a model where they bring you in with low fares and then sell you excursions, gambling, drinks etc to make their profits.

IN fact, we should take all of the prisoners in California and put them on cruise ships. Way cheaper than paying for the criminal / industrial complex.

i've used vayama twice and had no problems, the only downside is that you get your confirmation 24 hours after you purchase on their website so you have to factor that in when making plans

homany- when I was researching my China flights, I saw vayama. They offered the best prices. I sent an email to Chris Elliott (travel writer, web info site). Vayama is located in a mailbox in Las Vegas and I did not want to get scammed by a company who sells timeshares, flights, and gold bouillion on the side. (I am not saying that they do- I am just saying I don't want to do business with a unknown) Chris wrote back- never heard of them, be careful. That was the day I decided to go with Untied and pay the price.
I just called VAYAMA and they hung and never called back. That's bad enough to waste an hour of my life.

How did you guys like travelling to China? Safe?

Have we begun to compile a list of the Emails travel sites customer service?

Wouldn't it be best to email and have agents help?
