Pull down TV mount

nfn04 1 10 February 22, 2010 at 05:38 PM
I am looking for a tv mount that I can put above my fireplace that can be pulled out and down (not just tilt). The issue is that tv would be at the perfect height to watch in the kitchen, but I will be looking up from the couch. So, I would like to be able to pull it down about 12-14 inches when I want to want it from the couch. Anybody have any ideas?

A side note OP: if your chimney runs behind the wall you want to mount this to, that might be a problem. You definitely don't want to drive mounting screws in to the chimney.

If I try, I might fail. If I don't try, I will fail.

REALLY. C'mon man $500 + shipping. You can't include shipping for that price?!?!?!?

... or is it a typo? Should be $50.

NO ONE sane would spend 50-100% to mount a TV.

Nice idea. WRONG price.

They have mounts that come out when you turn on your TV. Nice.

BTW, put a thermometer there as the top temp for a TV is 100deg. Plus, I believe there are other topics on this :-)
