just tried the free vandekamp's lemon tilapia (with b1g1 printable on b1g1 S&S sale) - not bad, not that good either, but not bad - thinkin I will use the rest in fish tacos instead of just eating it right out of the oven. not sure it warrants going back to get 4 more.

I'm not a fish person, but everyone in the T thread was extoling its virtues....so waited til DH was at work, picked up some steak fries to douse in balsamic vinegar to go with my fish (and a bag of steamable carrots).....and I tried to like it....since I had gotten a dozen boxes free.....

Here's a couple of really bad pics of the mixer (not enough light in the kitchen and silly cell phone for pictures).

One is the cap versus the color, the other is the vintage pyrex cup that is a the cottage and how it matches the color almost spot on...

I did put it back together and make a batch of marshmallows with the Barefoot Contessa kits my mom bought me a couple years ago....they came out smashing. Gelatin, sugar and preservatives will outlast us all my friends. Thinking of making the second batch (and pulling the first early) and making a flavored one...I have peppermint, lemon, vanilla and some fruit flavored candy flavors....or maybe a pumpkin pie flavored......

yeah I'm with you ! parchment bake that i followed the directions for - ended up cutting it out of the parchment and nuking it AFTER baking it for 25 minutes in oven ! still wasn't cooked enuff for me....was I supposed to thaw it first ?? anyone know? ...definitely NOT my favorite freebie - thinkin i'll let those other 4 stay on the store shelf where i left em. people who missed out on that coupon aren't missin much IMO.

Not supposed to thaw them....I did have to put mine back in another 5-10mins if I remember correctly. Sauce was kind of thick and weird looking....smelled a bit fishy as well which kills me every time.

Aw, I hope she'll find her way back soon. I believe you can change your name somewhere in the profile, but I've never done it myself. You will still be able to find us here, but no one else will remember you. Unless you say who you are.

I wouldn't change my name myself...just cause kitty is gone doesn't mean you love her less or she's gone from your memories.

Then again I've spent ages with this screenname across the interwebs and changing it would confuse everyone and cause me to need to resign up for so many sites it would never end, lol.

Had a lovely day apple picking up in Alfred. Thank goodness I put my foot down and insisted, as they will be closing tomorrow for the season. Picked 37lbs. Amazing, delicious apples.

Unfortunately the husband is working this weekend for some extra cash, and in checking my facebook I read the update on a coworker who went missing Tuesday. She's been confirmed dead, although they have not found her body... Not looking forward to tomorrow at work or home. Gonna be a long day, dad is driving me to and from work since DH won't be home til after I need to be at work. Harvestfest is still going on downtown, DH will be exhausted and cranky (site has no power to make hot food, which means he's sitting in the car with it running to stay warm-again), and people are going to be all emotional at work. *sigh*
