Shaw's Supermarket Chat Thread

This thread is being created for the OT chat that goes into the Shaw's Deals thread. We are a chatty bunch and have become an extended family. I heart the OT chat, but agree that sometimes we just want to read about the deals. So hopefully this thread will help decrease the OT in the deals thread and we all have a place to chat with each other.

Sounds about right. I know you can plant them outside for the summer and dig up for the quick hibernation as well.

I feel like such a housewife tonight. Making pickles (B&B half slices from some beautiful .89/lb pickling cukes from Fiddleheads), bathing both dogs, changing the bedding so we can do laundry tomorrow, sorting through stockpile for gifts for a couple of the girls at work, cooking the pork roast for a late dinner for DH and I, and making giftbags with the sewing machine (first time using it ever). Tomorrow I will be making some cookies to bring to work for the night crew (BBQ to celebrate T's 50th birthday) as well as a jar of pickles. So I've got cooking, cleaning and sewing, lol. EEK!
You go, girl!!!! hug

What do you eat with 4 dozen a week?? We have (turkey bacon) and eggs on Saturday morning. No other eggs unless DD wants egg salad, or I make a quiche, or we bake. Or on those rare occasions when I eat ramen noodles, I always throw an egg and cayenne in them to give some flavor and nutrition.

Ohmy LMAO We would average about 1-2 a week. I bring 2 for salad or breakfast everyday. And then cook with other things at home.

DH has 2 every morning, 2 DDs have 1 every morning... so that's 28, now my parents are here, my father has 2 every morning, that's 42, and we use it for cooking too, like fried rice, I will use 3 since I make a big pan, and sometimes tomato eggs stir fry, or cucumber egg drop soup, etc. so about 4 dozens a week.

yeah, both my DDs love eggs, especially boiled ones. I can't wait to move to a house which has a bigger yard then we can raise our own chicken...hehe..

Hello everybody!! Been forever since I've popped in. Want to share a deal. For those of you close to Market Basket in Manchester (on Elm Street), they have Cheese Nips FREE with in store coupon. No limit. Also, Chips Ahoy cookies and Ritz crackers (small box) for 50 cents after in store coupon. No limit.

Not sure if this is a new store, grand opening offer limited to just this location. There was also a deal on Pop Tarts ($1 a box, I think?). But I didn't really pay attention to that offer.
