Thanks noungning Me too basically, and not that i blame them, but baby weight doesn't help on a positive note I got on the scale this afternoon (after breakfast, i usually weigh in the AM before i eat) for the first time in over a week. I was pleasantly surprised to have only gone up 8 oz. So I am almost starting again at where I left off at over a week ago. That makes me not so depressed about cheating during the Holiday.

I'm not good at doing any particular diets, I got sick on Atkins so I guess it screwed up my blood sugar levels. I've just started being more careful about what I eat, making myself stop when I'm not hungry, not snacking on bad stuff. Lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks, which is great for me. Probably can't keep up that rate but if I can lose 1 lb a week for the next few months I'll be happy.

I started a few months ago saying I didn't want to do a "diet" of any kind. Diets suck! I have tried on my own, eat less, eat healthier, I just can't seem to ever stick to it. But, if I am following something, like the Atkins type this time, the weight watchers last time, I do alright. I don't know why, but it is what it is. 5 lbs in 2 weeks is great!!
I started back up yesterday. It was tough because I started the day off with 3 hours of sleep and a huge headache I also had my 2 hour medicine appointment, which further drains any energy I have. I did great eating wise, sausage and egg scramble for breakfast, celery and cucumbers with an awesome Greek yogurt cucumber dill feta veggi dip that I bought to try, it was delicious!!!! Also had some swiss cheese. Chicken and broccoli with butter for dinner. So far today same breakfast, lunch was romaine lettuce leaves and cucumbers with a blue cheese dressing I bought from WM, also delicious, market place brand I think, its a WM brand, and its cold in the produce department, only 1 carb for 2 tablespoons. Also a few slices of summer sausage with havarti dill cheese melted on top, and 3 slices of packaged smoked ham. Yup, I was full Thinking steak and salad for dinner.
Friday I get my elliptical so excited.

well i've made it to the third cycle of the 17 day diet - so i've completed 34 days - i have lost 15 lbs but now i seem to have stalled big time. i have changed up my exercise routine hopin that'll help (couch to 5K training again !!! !) supposed to add MORE food to my repertoire in cycle 3 but scared to ! i am happy that i lost that weight over thanksgiving/christmas/new year's...but now i need to get SERIOUS ! i have about 20 lbs go and i'm already losin interest - hahahhahahahha
OH MMo3, I haven't started, I'm sick and can't start a diet. One of the bad kind, stuffy nose, taking all the OTC meds I bought throughout the years to see what works. My throat is in killer pain. I hate being sick!!! I haven't been able to eat much either, everything just tastes wayyy too over salty?! I salt by the way so this is odd for me!

Way to go girls. I need to get off my butt and eat better and find time for working out but it will be a few weeks. I'm just about cashed out of ra. I'm taking a much needed break, since my youngest started pre-k I haven't had a second for me or cleaning my house lol.
Christmas has trashed the place and I need to get it back in order. Did I mention both my kids have jan bdays too ugh!!!
Just got nessah a queen bed and Trenton switched bedrooms. Now I need to sort toys and set up the toy room in hopes of keeping bedrooms clean. Seriously I have no clue where to put any Xmas stuff, I swear every year I'm not buying crap they don't need and I do it anyhow. When will I learn!!
I took a few Xmas things down today I need to take the tree down but ugh those darn ornaments lol. Hubby will fall over if its sorta organized when he gets back home tomorrow night. Haha don't worry it will never happen since my son doesn't go to pre k on Fridays lol.
I have Xmas returns to do too. I hate those!! Geez now that I'm thinking of my to do list I'm never gonna loose weight hahaa

Maybe you're in an area that doesn't use coupons as much so they don't feel your market would want those coupons? I get shafted by RA and their regional deals because they don't think we like to buy those hot deals.
I dunno...my daughter checked her papers too...Nashua Telegraph and Lowell Sun, she only got 3 inserts in each and they didnt include those either. She checked 2 Boston papers and there were no inserts so we figure someone took those

Noungnign, Hope you feel better soon!!! IIRC you had a final end of December, does that mean school is done for you for now? Hopefully you have some time to rest and get better.
Lisa, running around with the kids is good exercise! I hear ya on house work! We haven't put our holiday decorations away either. I also hear you on birthdays, my oldest is going to be a TEENAGER tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Middle child is in Feb and Baby is in March. Can't believe where the time has gone!
So we got the elliptical set up, but it's in the kitchen for now Waiting for my baby monkey to take a nap, she has found out that she can push herself from her belly to her bum then pull herself up and hold onto the edge of the crib... then she doesn't have to sleep............ hope this doesn't mean the end of nap time!! I went in and layed her down a couple times, and I think she's sleeping now, so I get some Mommy time!

the diet IS easy to follow (17-day diet) - you have to make yourself like plain greek yogurt (twice a day) - but you ARE allowed to add sugar-free stuff to it to make it palatable ! I have gotten into smoothies for breakfast big time! even sneaking Kale into em and still lovin em !!! that way i get my yogurt and my fruit and some veggies and protein (in the form of powder) oh and fats (flax oil) all for breakfast !
I feel good ! and only have 10 more days to finish cycle 3 - then because i still want to lose more - i have a choice as to which cycle i want to return to ! (cycle 4 is maintenance and i'm not ready to go there yet ! )
I recommend this diet for quick results ! then it slows down to a snail's pace but i think that is true of most diets ! i just gotta keep my mind in the right place and put my stick-to-it pants on !!!!
If its something you can stick to and it works for you then its great!! Congrats and much luck for those last lbs melting off!
Forgot to mention I am up to 10.4 lbs lost. I am continuing the days from when I first started, so in my book its day 30, but that includes 11 days off during the holidays. I was tempted to start tracking over from day 1 again, but decided to just continue.
