I am not a cat lover. My sister is deathly allergic to cats. When we were growing up we wore each other's clothes and if I ever even touched a cat, she would be ill for days. I learned to stay away from them and, just from habit, mostly still do. As I said, I am not really a cat lover. (Now CATS are another thing altogether!) |

I found a $0.50/1 stride gum on coupons.com. I went to Albies to check the price and there were 2 kinds that were marked $1. Every shelf was completely empty. So someone knew about it. Did I miss that post?? I'm always the last to know
Also, the Arm and Hammer was sold out. In case anyone else missed that deal they were $1.79 limit 2 and the coupon was $0.75/2 which would round up to $1, if you weren't too late like me bummed

Maybe it is only me who has issues every single time I try and use a BOGO coupon in combo with a cents off coupon at Albies. We have to go over this EVERY SINGLE TIME there is a deal. Today I again tried to use a BOGO and a $3/2 on the Pantene at Albies which they allowed for good customer service but was told by management that I was incorrectly using coupons. In case anyone needs a written policy to show them, you might want to print off my question and the response I received - I asked about this on the Albies FB page and was again told that it was okay.
![]() Here is the response I received: Albertsons The answer Stacie provided to you was checked and double-checked by our coupon experts for accuracy. You can combine one store coupon and one manufacturer coupon per item. In the case of BOGO manufacturer coupons, that coupon applies to the free item, leaving you free to use another manufacturer coupon on the item for which you are still paying. In the example you provided, you can use the two BOGO coupons on 4 bottles of Pantene. This makes 2 of the bottles free, and the other 2 are eligible to have another manufacturer coupon applied to them. I'm glad that Jenn is working to clarify matters on her own, and that you had a great experience with her. I'll have our teams check in with the store on 196th to help make sure everyone understands our policy. Thank you for being patient with us, and I hope you continue to have a wonderful time shopping your neighborhood Albertsons! ~Steve For a HU on the promo: Buy $25 worth of select P and G and get a $5 CAT. Pantene is $2.99. Buy 8 and a Puff tissues (filler to reach $25) - use four BOGO coupons from the Feb single sheet P and G insert and two $3/2 qs from the PG insert. Pay $5.96 plus the cost of the tissues ($1.49) = $7.45, get $5 CAT which rolls. When CATS are figured into two transactions of the above, a MM. $2.45 + $2.45 = $4.90 get $15 MIR here: http://www.pgbestinbeauty.com/BOBrebate.pdf The deal is actually a wee bit better at RA starting on Sunday but I like the support I always (eventually) get at Albies when using BOGOs in combo with cents off coupons. I went to FM today and bought the oreos grab and go packs. They are $2.77 this week. I had an e-coupon for $0.75/1 oreo grab and go and then another for $0.55 off oreos that was limit 5. I bought 2 boxes and the first one took off both ecoupons, the second took off $0.55. Then i was able to use my regular coupon for $1/1 which only works if they scan your card after your coupons. The price is supposed to end on Saturday.
And Yes Mommmie, we do need coffee sometime. Maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday around lunch time? Last edited by SDCookie; 03-01-2013 at 02:19 PM.. |

At Albies today I was pulled over for a quick discussion about the resolution of this issue. The top coupon expert at Albies said that it is perfectly acceptable to use coupons this way and the 196th store has an official note about it published on their employee bulletin board. However, the top coupon expert said that she'd appreciate it if I were told not to advertise this coupon usage.

too, Mommie. Don't they want to sell things? If this is an acceptable way to use coupons, then I don't see the problem in you letting us know about it. I'm glad that you did.

The head coupon person said that with the new ownership of Albies, all of the coupon policies are under significant review and there will be considerable changes upcoming. Until that time, Albies' customers are allowed to stack coupons (which is what she claims is happening when both a BOGO coupon and a $ off coupon are applied) because the manufacturers are paying Albertsons for these coupons without complaint. She asked that this info about stacking not be advertised on blogs (but this isn't a blog so I have no problem sharing) because she herself believes it is giving contradictory info about coupon usage. |

What worked: Buying gift cards in denominations of $5 and registering them to get an additional $5 added onto each one. Buying more $5 gift cards at Starbucks (paying with the gift cards you already owned that were now each $10 in value.) Taking these home and registering these cards each to a new account so that these cards all had additional $5 added to them.) Returning to Starbucks and buying more $5 gift cards, paying with the gift cards you already own, etc., etc., etc. OOP = only initial output to start the rolls Some people online after accumulating small fortunes from Starbucks transferred balances of these gift cards to their gold card. Starbucks has now deleted these gold card balances and actually cancelled gold cards of customers who participated. I don't think the ten dollar gift cards/$5 gift card balances have been touched if they were not transferred to a gold account. The promo is still advertised. Starbucks has not been immediately adding $5 to each card but issued a statement yesterday saying that they would do so within 24 hours. We're all kind of just waiting to see what happens next... |
