Thread Details

Has any one else had more trouble with Opinion Outpost recently? I have had it with answering a large amount of questions, about very detailed information, only to find out that I did not qualify for the survey. It seems to have gotten worse. I personally will no longer be taking their surveys, but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues.

I received that too. I sent them a message and received this back soon after:

We apologize for the error you encountered at the end of the survey We work with many different companies and sometimes redirecting errors or some other errors may occur. This survey is still open and all those who completed it are yet to be awarded. Before awarding the points, the client needs to verify every complete with the data they received to check quality and consistency. The verification process will be done when the survey is closed which would approximately take 3-4 weeks. Once closed and completes are verified, the points will then be uploaded. If your account is not credited after this period is over, please let us know. We appreciate your patience.
I get one of these every so often. I'm still waiting on that last one that happened near the end of March that's worth $20, but everytime it's happened in the past, they have paid up a few weeks later (usually after I've done forgot about it and then get surprised seeing that I have points magically added).

Got this warning message after clicking the survey link in the email they sent me.

Unable to record participation…

survey number: ORD-47033-S6TB

This could happen because you were either flagged for data concerns or someone else already participated in this survey using this computer.

Haven't got a clue what that's about?
JOin me too in this list.First time I am doing this survey, but am getting this message.Hope it is a glitch from their side.

The follow up came on the same day for me. I would write to them about it.
thanks! i did write to them. they told me i needed the survey number.

Like i was supposed to know in advance that i wouldn't get it lol i told them it was the follow up survey and they gave me this stuff:

Quote :
The only information that is visible on our end are the survey number, the amount of points upon completion, description and the date the survey is taken. For a speedy response time, it is best to keep a record of the survey numbers so when a survey problem arises, it would be much easier for us to track the survey down and resolve your issue at once.
also i never got the citi card Frown
last time i got it in one day so i figure i'd get it again because i requested it on the same day like last time. but no dice! called up citi and they said OO never sent the request, so now i have to wait till at least Tuesday to get it damn.

i don't have an issue waiting but since i thought i was going to get the money the next day like i always do i clicked "buy it now" on an ebay item and now i can even pay for it because of OO

luckily the seller said he's laid back and will give me extra time to pay, i'll probably give them $2 extra for being so nice!

After spending 25 minutes on a survey i got the dreadful
"sorry but we already met our quota". i think it's total BS

if it already knows the quota has been filled why let us take the entire survey?

I recently took one from a different site. I spent 30 minutes on it for some paltry amount which was stupid on my part anyway, but got to the end where you give all your information such as race and what not. Everything goes great, all the information has been recorded and thank you for taking the survey and we'll submit it. Hit the submit button and go back to the originating website to read: this survey has been filled and we no longer need your participation.

Well duh it's been filled because I just helped. >_<

I just got one of those OO messages with the warning that everyone's been talking about. That's definitely new to me. On the other hand it was for a survey that gives 5 points for 30 minutes so maybe it's ok.

Hmmmm We may be on to something here Ermm
lets see... We do complete a full survey and ironically all of a sudden the quota is full after we complete the survey. Could this be a New trend of them getting us to do surveys for FREE? Think about it for a minute .... the system should already know the quota is full before hand

This is what I find frustrating. If the quota is full then pull the survey and not allow others to do it but then they wouldn't be getting all this extra information if they did that.

I have completely given up complaining to OO about this as they keep giving the same line

I have one that well beyond the time frame and never got credited for it and don't see the sense in telling them which I'm sure is why they do things this way and hope that we forget or get frustrated and don't bother.

Before they were merged I felt that their customer service at the very least listened to complaints about these things but not now.

I will say e-Rewards has always handled this thing in a much better manner. I've had at least two instances where I spent upwards of an hour (all times were watching a video/tv pilot/etc). Last one was after 60 minutes of watching and giving my opinion I had suddenly became the wrong demographic and disqualified. Pay was $15 in e-Rewards funny money and at the beginning of the survey it said if you didn't qualify you'd get like 50 cents. Well after being disqualified after the time spent I emailed them saying if I don't meet the demographics I should get disqualified at the beginning and not after having spent well over an hour of my time and they agreed and immediately credited my account. The other time was basically the same (I think $10 for 30 minutes or so) and got if I remember correctly the quota full after the survey. Complained, they agreed and immediate credit. No BS of study still open and will take weeks and blah, blah, blah like OO.

Ah, I feel better.

Well back to getting disqualified on a few more surveys. laugh out loud

Yeah I don't see OO doing that.

*Sigh* Still waiting on that $20 in points they owe me. I'm not at the fretting point yet since it hasn't been 3-4 weeks yet. Maybe this week is the 3rd week. I can't even remember anymore.

They've done this crap to me twice in the past week... completed two surveys, one about 15 minutes and the other 30, then the last screen to complete it, forwards me to a quota full message. BS. Obviously this is something that's happening more and more recently with more people, so they're either purposefully having us complete surveys for free, or they're refusing to fix some sort of bug in their system. Judging by their refusal to acknowledge anything is wrong in their emails, I'm going with the purposefully screwing us over theory.

I don't know why I keep giving them another chance. My fault I guess.

Do I just delete my account here, or keep checking back hoping to see the Amazon Gift Cards available again?

Was on the site and said I had no surveys. Had an email that gave this survey

Survey Length: 15 minutes
Survey Number: ORD-46527-RR8T

Even though the site says none it let me do this one. If you get it don't bother as it never mentioned anything in the email of compensation (not even sweeps entry) and when finished sure enough you get one entry into the BS sweeps. vomit

While OO is certainly at fault for doing this, some other survey sites I go to have been doing the same thing to since...well, forever. It's not right, but they're not the only ones guilty of it.

Speaking of OO invitations, I love the ones I get for magazines. Only worth 10 points but they're easy to do and you can't really DQ out of them. On the other hand, I wish OO would stop sending me invitations that have already reached their quota. >_<
