I did that. It goes pretty darn fast. You have to be careful though and balance that power out with some stickers and a huge spoiler. You don't want the car to fly off the road.

Joking and idiocy aside, this is a so-so price, but a very good compressor. I've used this compressor to build a garage and gut-and-remodel several houses. It will run a couple of framing nailers without a hiccup. (mine has been slightly modified for my own use with a larger shut-off valve and regulator, and a manifold) Even used it to run a 1/2" impact wrench on-site when the need arose, but wouldn't recommend it for this type of use everyday.

That said, if you're interested, wait until it goes on sale (non-coupon) for $80-90, then use a 20% coupon that can be found all over the HFT coupon thread. I bought mine for about $70 OTD. This deal can typically be replicated during parking lot sales, etc.

This is one of the few "gems" to be found at HF. I think the flow ratings are underrated, if anything. The compressor pump is the same one used for much larger tanks, and is a good knockoff of a MUCH more expensive name-brand unit.

According to their website, this is on sale for $99 w/o the coupon. So that would bring it down to $80 bucks after the 20% off! Not bad at all!

EDIT: The 20% coupon says cannot be combined w/ any other coupon OR discount. Ever had a problem in the past using it on "on sale" items?

I've never had a problem with using a 15% or 20% coupon on sale items. For example, their 4000lb aluminum racing jack, normally $189 or so, went on sale for $159, I used a 20% off coupon and ended up with it for around $135 after tax.

The 20% on sale items in hit or miss with them; sometimes they do it and sometimes they say they cant. YMMV

why wouldn't you use this for impact wrench? Not enough CFM?

Correct, sir. That and the small tank means that the pressure drops pretty quickly when you're using that kind of volume.

It's basically the same thing. That's actually the one that I have for running my nailers. If you have use for a compressor with these specs, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

yeah, there's a coupon for this item at $79.99.

Without coupon, it is on sale for $99. You can also use the 20% off coupon and get it for $79.

I've used the pancake version of this compressor (same pump) professionally for about 8 or 10 years now and am very satisfied. Like your car, regular oil changes will extend the life of an oil-lubed compressor significantly.
