Options are limited when its a fully rented building and only a pinch of pipe sticks out. Most i've ever had to do was wipe some liquid teflon on them for those that hate spelling mistakes www.walmarts.co

Replacing Roof Ridge Cap
My roof shingles are generally in good condition but the ridge cap is pretty worn away and peeling in a lot of areas so I am going to replace it, about 100' total. I want to cut 3-tab shingles to use as ridge caps as I hear many people do this as a cheaper alternative. They may not stick up as much or be as thick as dedicated ridge cap shingles but they are less than half the price ($20/bundle vs $45/bundle and I need 3 bundles). Is there any real bad reason against using this method? They don't need to last 30 years as whenever my roof needs to be re-done (currently 11 years old) the ridge caps will be replaced as well. This is my first roofing job so any tips that aren't commonly known would be appreciated. Thanks.

Need a 10" table saw blade.
The last one I got at HD, I think is was around $35, worked great for a short while but now doesn't cut well and readily burns oak. The one I had before that was years old and did much better. Everything is properly aligned. Looking for a 60 tooth carbide for well finished cuts. What brand/model to get? |

Temperature Range 40°F (4.4°C) to 100°F (37.8°C)
This is being mounted at the top of a wide staircase in a three story building just under a glass skylight. It bakes in that area. I probably underestimated when contemplating 110F. It was recently 98 degrees outside and the one there now set off the building alarms, which in turn set off a lot of things I'd rather not have happen again. Historically, when it's above 90 degrees it's been known to sound. |

Thanks. That's what came with the system. When it's serviced, I want to know more about it than the serviceman so we're not royally screwed over. If what they do is anything like the oil burner serviceman did, it's wham bam and done. I want this system up and running at it's peak.
The manual that came with it (linked above) doesn't show, for instance, how to tweak the settings with an analyzer or even how to seal the sealed chamber back up. That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. I haven't seen anything like that in the library, or online. It's gotta be someplace!! |
