We only got $1/4 Suddenly Salad and I didn't have time to print any IPs, so I did this:
10.00 (20) Yoplait 8.00 (8) Suddenly Salad ------- 18.00 -2.00 two $1/1 Yoplait mfr Q -2.00 two $1/4 Suddenly Salad mfr Q ------- 14.00, for $2 Yoplait cat + $10 cat for gas card. PSP: 20*.75 + 8*2.29 = 33.32 Probably could have done better but I was in a hurry. $2 for 20 Yoplait is good in my book, SS is just the means to get there. Has anyoen ever frozen this yogurt and then thawed to eat it? I've frozen before and used for smoothies, but not to eat. Wonder if it's worth repeating this scenario. ~Karen
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ post linky Thanks to all my RA peeps for getting me to 6000! Thanks munchkin, cmm4chris, debko, thorndor, angelinda, PGF, Mokki and Rodent!!! Thanks to all my Shaw's buddies for getting me to 5000. 42% of children in the United states live in low-income families (less than the amount needed to cover basic expenses). Why should you care? Because the future of our country depends on our children. |
I freeze the Whips all the time. Still have a dozen or so in the freezer. Just like having raspberry mousse There are on-line articles about doing it. They thaw and eat just fine. Have never tried freezing the ones w/o all the air & gelatin. Don't know what their texture would be.
![]() Just turned on this pc for first time in a while and came across this post:
----------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() OT: My store now has a "bad" coupon-er. She teaches a class and brings attendees w/her She clears the shelf. During the razor deal she ordered 50 cases so everytime a case came in it was put aside for her and none made it to the shelves. She brags. I was next door in Staples and cashier told me about woman who bought $700 worth of groceries and paid less than $1 for them, pulling out her receipt to show cashier! Who does that??? Who goes around bragging about what they're doing??? THEN she breaks the rules and gets pissed when store won't bend them for her. Tells them they're wrong, that she knows the rules. She came out w/ overage and argued when store would not put the overage on a gift card for her!!! So now any special order has to be approved by manager. All it takes is one person to ruin it for everyone.Last week I was in the store and a woman was checking out w/ huge cart of groceries. I thought it might be the "bad coupon lady" but it wasn't. It was someone else. FEM was going around w/ her because she had rain checks from April. They were from a pot roast deal so she'd pulled some nice roasts and was trying to get FEM to give them to her at pot roast sale price! FEM couldn't believe it. Just because you have a rain check doesn't mean you can pick any cut of meat you want, not to mention that the RC was from 3 mo ago. They ended up denying it on the basis that it wasn't even from this store but from store an hour away. The woman had her son w/ her-- maybe 8 yrs old. Great role model. The TLC show has created monsters . The only consolation I have is that FEM & cashiers say to me, "can you believe..." knowing that I'd never do what these women have the unmitigated gall to do.and now we return to our regularly scheduled programming... |
I tell myself that people who coupon fast and furious like that end up burning themselves in the long run. I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but that's what I tell myself. I suspect there has been an increase in couponers around here too. I find shelves empty sooner. Once in awhile, cashiers who recognize me will comment that they had someone come in and try to use coupons incorrectly, like on incorrect products. I have had a handful of cashiers, all younger/college age ask me where I print my coupons, and I always tell them all the sites I've used to print. I even gave one young man a couple of coupons, and he reached into his wallet, and gave me a gum coupon! I thought that was so cute. Maybe one of the biggest impacts this lousy economy will have on the next generation is a new value and appreciation for finances and money management. Funny, I've never, ever had a cashier who appears to be my age or older ask about couponing, not sure what that means, lol.
