A coupon will double up to the shelf price of an item. Example: if you use a 0.75 coupon on an item that has a shelf price of $1.60 it will double to $1.50 (2*0.75) or if you use a 0.75 coupon on an item that is $1.40 it will double to $1.40. If the item is on sale for $1.00 you would get 0.50 O on the item that is $1.60 and 0.40 O on the item that is $1.40. Hope that helps. Remember only 4 of the same coupons will double in a transaction.
.
Thanks I knew how it worked in the past, I just didn't know if the new computers would still allow for overage based on shelf price. The McCormick recipe cards are a $1 this week so $.50 overage per coupon would be fantastic.

I can't confirm that the new registers allow overage, but even if they do, it's against Shaw's policy and some stores will adjust the coupon down. As always, YMMV.

Anyone try this? Or know what the diet is? I don't like fake sugar but Newman's Own may not be as bad as I think...right?
Purple, I checked the ingredients. The sweetener is stevia. I was pleasantly surprised. Bought 4 tonight. Haven't tried it yet.

FREE Sorrento Ricotta at Chapel View Shaws! bounce

They are clearancing the 2 lb containers of Sorrento for $1, and there are $1/1 MQs in the 2-12 SS. The ricotta expires 4-14, but for free, I'll take a gamble on freezing it. Has anyone else frozen ricotta?

They are located in the refrigerated endcap across from the milk, bottom shelf.

My experience has been that ricotta keeps forever as long as the plastic seal is intact. Remember the cat when we got free Sorrento mozz & ricotta last year? I ended up w/ 24 2lb containers. Expiration date was May 2011 but I've been using it since then w/o problem. Only one container left it the fridge Frown and the cheese isn't green laugh out loud

I made lots of stuffed shells & lasagnes. Cooked the pasta, stuffed the shells, froze them on cookie sheets then bagged. Have been baking them all year, again no problem.

I always freeze ricotta. I usually use about 1/2 container for a dish of lasagne and jsut freeze the rest. If you do freeze after opening it, put plastic wrap over the surface of the cheese before freezing to protect from freezer burn.

Hmmmm, didn't check it but if its one of the trendy stevia-esque brands we won't drink it as its bitter sweet from how they process and add too much. Frown Thanks for the answer though.

I leave mine unopened like Scroot does. Once you puncture that seal, even before the use by date the icky starts....I picked one up at WM a couple weeks ago with a tiny puncture in the film....and blue moldy stuff growing from that spot outward. Use-by was a month away though. I tend to check the seals since if they got squished (which happens alot) the seal may pop loose and is then useless for me to store long term.

I would never buy one that was opened (I know you didn't do that on purpose!) but if I buy it and only use half, I put plastic wrap over it and freeze it right away and it's fine.
