Guys, I've been out of CVS for awhile -- stepped back in for the Wisk deal (6 bottles of detergent for less than $8 was good enough to lure me back) and to prep for the new store that just opened near me.
I hadn't used my CVS card in so long I couldn't find it, and got a new one (any disadvantage to that?). Anyway, I registered it for the beauty club -- the email never showed up with the 10% pass -- and yesterday I found it in my spam mail folder -- it had expired the day before! I called CVS explained what happened and that I wouldn't have been out anyway due to the hurricane warning and they said they couldn't resend me the 10% pass, but would send me a 20% beauty pass that would print on my card in a "few days". Anyone have any experience with how long this is likely to take? I'd like to plan my shopping trip and do the regenerist deal for the gas card. Is Thursday likely the day? Will it show up online under my deals so I can check before? Meanwhile, I'm loving the coupons that arrived in the mailer for the new store: $5/15, $3 off of any CVS item, free 2 liter coke, free Hershey's Air Delight, free 20 ct Bayer Advanced, and a free $5 gift card if you "met the pharmacy team" (I waited until a non busy time, inquired about the price of a particular prescription to see if it was competitive, and had that GC lickety split -- the price on the med was good too!). Last edited by karmalaw; 08-29-2012 at 11:47 AM.. WHERE ARE YOU? If you only post "I WENT TO MY LOCAL STORE" and you don't indicate what city/location and your location is not in your profile so that it displays under your screen name, your post IS NOT HELPFUL at all. SO, PLEASE IDENTIFY YOUR LOCATION! Thank You.

I currently have 3 CVS within walking distance of my home but a 4th one is under construction. It will be as close as the other 3 but in another direction. I wonder how many blocks/ feet you need to be to a store location for it to be considered your home store location? |

one RiteAid & one WAGs are closer to me even though they are surround by CVS locations. There just aren't enough stores... |

If CS meant the regular weekly q that seems to go out each Thursday, then yep, it'll be Thursday. But they said they'd send you a "beauty pass" in a few days? Hmmmm...those are just about useless...they don't work on non-sale stuff if it's producing an ECB. So, I'm not really sure what you're getting, or when. Helpful, I know ![]() If it does indeed turn out to be the regular weekly coupon, it should show up online in your account. The main disadvantage to a new card is there is no spending history on it, so it may be weeks or months before you get anything other than generic CRT's. But, if you used the same phone number, perhaps CVS will tie your old one in to it? I'm not really sure on the mechanics of that, so can't really do anything more than speculate. I think others have had their old cards swapped out for new ones and can provide more info though! Reps are back...for now.
I owe loads of gratitude to everyone that got me where I am! Read the *NEW* CVS FAQ and post your questions there. Let's keep the deal threads deal-related, please.Would it kill you to read the wiki? Or to read the thread? All the experts got to where they are by reading...you can too. |

By the way, does anyone else have an issue with the ink rubbing off of the new thin-paper CRTs within a couple days? It's really annoying. All I do is organize my CRTs by expiration date and then stick them all in a stack in a compartment of my purse - and now, within 2-3 days, the ink on them just totally fades to a point where I'm not sure if they'll even scan anymore. I've had this problem with CRTs from different stores, so I don't even think it's the red machine's fault - I think it's the new thin paper. Combine with the fact that for some bizarre reason, my closest store continues to insist on only manning the one register that prints only half of the receipt (the other half is always completely blank, and it conveniently cuts off the coupon value and half the barcode of any EB/CRT that prints on the receipt), I'm kind of glad I'm still planning on cashing out my CVS card completely... Come on, CVS. It's the little things. They matter. |
