Thread Details

This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

What CRTs are printing today?
There may not have been any. Scanned both cards and got the double CRT along with a blank CRT. Not sure if my machine was wonky or if there just were none. One of my cards did get a $10/$50. I have a 3 day ad.

I should know this, but apparently I don't. I know if I print the emailed coupon today it extends the exp. date. If I send it to card does it also extend the date?

Trying to figure out if I need to stop house cleaning & go to CVS today (I accidentally hit the send to card button Doh)
Printing a coupon or sending it to your card will extend the coupon expiration date until Thursday.

Mine printed a blank before Double Cashback CRT too (after my $5 beauty club CRT). Scanned it a second time and got a blank again before the Double Cashback CRT. I stopped scanning when the Double Cashback CRT is the only thing printed.

Machine sounded like it was trying to print two CRTs, but I also only got a blank and a double cashback CRT on a couple of cards. No reason to waste all the paper, this is a store that have the cheap, think paper in their machine.

On mobile so cannot search but I do not think anyone has mentioned this:

Booklet -- Medicare Part D starter kit has a CVS Q --- 12 digit starts with a 4, Ask an associate to scan the barcode at the register and you'll receive a 20% off shopping pass ...valid one time only 10/8/12 - 12/7/12

There was a freestanding display of booklets at front of store.

I was only able to print on one card today and then the machine went down. I received:

$2/2 Tresemme - ETS
$5 off Lumene - ETS
$.50 off Pepsi Next 20 oz
$1 off Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara
$3 off any vitamin purchase

All expire 10/21/12.

I send the 4/20 q to my card and was surprised the cashier asked if I want it to apply to my order which consisted of $17.20 in prescriptions and the styler kit. I assumed these coupons would not worked on prescriptions. The pharmacist did scan the prescriptions before my card. Was that the reason? Any input for future transactions sake? Thanks!

The math is saying something worth $10 actually rang up as a CVS coupon. Was one of the $10 ECBs (from P&G) manually entered in any way including beeping for whatever reason? It looks like that's your culprit.

Edit: It looks like you used one of your $10 ECBs from the P&G deal last and it needed to be adjusted down to ~$9.70, right? I think that's what did it. If a caramel or other small filler worth $0.30+ had been added, everything would've gone through as planned. In your original math, your subtotal is actually -$0.30 and not $0.03.
Both $10 ECBs (from P&G) were scanned, and neither of the ECBs were adjusted down, as I had those scanned prior to handing over my IPs (I try to plan ahead, so taxes get partially paid with MFQ coupons). Thanks for catching the sub-total difference, but I'm still confused with how stuff was actually calcuted.

Where was 20% from and what does it ring on receipt?

I can confirm that 20% from 3 day ad rings as "xtra day discount" and does not deduct from any cvs coupons.
The 20% was from the Extraordinary Savings Program and it ringed "20% CVS COUPON."

I read on another forum that the 20% only took off 10%, and it looks like it happened here as well (CVS Q do not effect it like previously reported).

Has anyone used it today as well?
Hmmm, you may be right, but one of the $10 ECBs could have acted wonky like awshucks said despite both being scanned...All in all, CVS must want to keep us on our toes, thinking about their programming...Confused

Thanks for your guys' insight. Wink

Thanks Do you have a picture? Is the coupon tied to a card or do they just scan the barcode? When they scan the barcode is it a specific amount of days until it expires or do they all print 12/7?

I hope they won't be too difficult to find. So many times you find coupons that never turn up anywhere else. Even in my travels I've never seen a CVS with a beauty counter. Frown Only in my dreams.

Were those previous $4/$20 newspaper coupons unique barcodes?

I get two copies (subscription) LA Times & the barcodes/#s for the 20% aré different from one ad to the other.

No they were not unique bar codes. Had no idea the 20 percent were.

So, the general consensus on this 3-day 20% off pass is that there is no general consensus (whether it works or not on regular priced, EB producing items)??

Extraordinary Savings Question.
I signed up last sunday and monday 9/30 and 10/1. I got 20% off coupons on the bottom on my receipts. I have been scanning my card periodically at the red machine and have not gotten a new one yet. I read somewhere here that people said Friday. Does that mean I should not get one until Friday this week either and that I missed last friday because it was the same week I enrolled? Thanks

ETA: I just scanned my cards this morning as well and got a blank spot on my printout. I am wondering if that is my 20% off.
