This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

Have a question about a 25% I obtained. This was a homemailer card and has a name on it. It's for the 17 & 18th only. My question is can I use it with my card which isn't who it was sent to. Has anyone used a CVS homemailer 25% coupon that wasn't addressed to them and it worked fine. There's no name on the actual coupon. It's 12 digits total. Any help greatly appreciated.
I've never seen a home mailer that was attached to a specific card. That's not to say CVS can't change that at any time, but based on past experience, it should be good for whichever card you want to use it on.

Thanks so much! Hopefully it will work.Smilie

I did not get to use my free Advil coupon yesterday. Think it will beep expired today?
Tks

I would certainly try it! I would ask when I went to the register. Maybe, if it does beep, they can work around it. Those coupons went really quickly, it would be a shame to lose it!

Anyone ever stack two ES? I received two when I printed them Sunday. They have two different barcodes on them. I searched for the answer but didn't find it Blush2. I know you can stack ES and a mailed xx% q, just wondering if I can stack two ES.

I don't think it would work for your card. I found 20% off coupons a few months ago and they beeped according to the cashier's message on her screen "not for your card" or something like that, I can't remember the exact message. I tried a few times as there were several attached to that homemailer: one coupon was for 8/12/12-8/18/12 only, another was for 8/19-8/25/12 only, 8/26-9/1/12 only, etc....

You could certainly try though and see what happens.

Yes, you can use two ES at the same time. As you said, they have two different barcodes so the register has no problem with this.

Awesome. I wasn't sure if they would stop me because they were both an ES. My trip on Sunday AM is shaping up nicely!

anyone having issues at sco in their area lately? I'm in south Jersey, and my local store w/sco last night I put in a crt for tp/mw, it beeps, screen goes to 'help is on the way', lady scans her card, gets it going again, so I scan in an ecb, goes to the 'help is on the way' screen again. she fixes it again. next ecb, same thing, again & again w/every ecb I scan in - I asked her wtf, she says they reprogrammed the sco's and this is 'the new system'. they can't really intend that every time a customer scans in an ecb the sco attendant has to come & get the thing out of the error screen, do they?
UGH. I just had this experience at two stores in DC yesterday. On top of it being just plain embarrassing, it pissed me off. This just may be enough to get me to quit the CVS game altogether. I have enough shampoo/body wash/toothpaste/toothbrushes to last a few years. I'm thinking I may just cash out my remaining ECBs on toilet paper or something and be free of the ECB cycle. Haha.

has anyone had any issues using 4 off 20 coupon?
I tried to use one yesterday night and it gave an error that it was previously used yesterday earlier. It was my only run to CVS so I know I didn't use it before.

I have had that happen to me a couple of times in the last month or so. Then I went back a couple of days later and the next set worked just fine. Total PITA when it happens though.

Me and a friend ordered 3 on the bay, probably the same ones you are talking about. They all have the same bar code # on it..can it really be attached to a card that way? It was cheap, so no big deal, and worth the extra $2, but if it works, will be a big MM.

Happened to my today also. After every coupon - beeped for "help is on the way" whether it was a CVS CRT or a mfg coupon. Then person had to read every coupons fine print and check every item in the bag - very annoying and time consuming.

There is one CVS here that has programmed their SCO's to bring up the "help is on the way" screen once you scan a third Q, CRT, or EB. You can use up to 2 with no problems, but once you scan that 3rd one, that screen will show up and the attendant will have to scan his/her card for each Q/EB after that.

It's only for that particular store, though, and the attendant told me it was due to Q abuse. I went there once and haven't been back!

Wow, I wish I checked this thread before heading out today! It turns out the store I frequent started doing this as well. It was extremely frustrating as they basically funnel people through SCO so I rarely have a choice...I had to get approval for EVERY SINGLE Q AND ECB.

Is this really a per store thing, or is it all SCO now? Anyone been to a store that isn't doing it at this point? I would really like to figure that out before choosing which CVS to go to come Sunday for the awesome deals Smilie

TIA!

P.S. I got a survey on my receipt today, so I'm voicing my dissatisfaction there. I recommend you all do the same! I also considered whether it would be worth CVS'ing anymore if this is how things will be....

I am also interested in hearing from anyone who used a SCO at CVS today or yesterday where it was business as usual with Q's.
