Thread Details

This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

My cashier told me the 30% F&F Q was for Dec 1-3 by the way...if anyone wanted another report on supposed dates. laugh out loud

She was so sweet in offering me one, but I asked her to save it for someone else because I honestly still find those % Qs too pesky for calculating down to the penny... Crazy

cashier at the cvs i used to work at said all employees received 30% off, good for 12/1 -12/2. she has has 6 and is giving me one. she believes they can be used with any card (not just hers). i am picking it up on friday.
I have a friend on the CVS/Caremark Board of Directors and he sent me the folder with the 6 30% off Q's. Indeed the dates are 12/1 and 12/2. The mailer says "Dear Colleagues" and is signed by CVS President, so I guess all employees receive one of these. Or maybe just full-time employees? I have no idea. I'd offer to share but my in-laws have already claimed them.

Can't wait to inform the friendly cashiers at my store! I think they are always last to know.

anyone know anything about the PG rebates not accepting receipts because you used a coupon on the items? I used ECB to make most of my payments, and probably a coupon or two, and I got rejected, I'm about out of my mind just now. there was nothing on the form stating such.
If you're talking about the $15/$50, I had no problem with it. I did mine on a single receipt with about $3 OOP. I received my $15 card from P&G a few days ago.

Thank you soo much Smilie Was blowing a blood vessel. Will try calling again tomrw.

hug

do you happen to know which insert it came out of, trying to prepare for the conversation. Any reference as to where they allow coupon use, other than logic?

also the rebate dept had referred me to PG relations. Which do you think is a better bet?
Do you have the rejection letter they sent you? What does that say? I know many people have been receiving those letters saying that they didn't send the original receipts, even when they clearly did. I would honestly just call the regular 800 number, tell them "I sent in a rebate on X/XX. I have copies of the rebate, the receipts, and UPC numbers. What do I need to do to appeal this rejection?" Most likely, they'll just look up your info and say "Oh I see that you sent it in already. The check is in the mail." You wouldn't believe the number of times I've done that and it works. I'm beginning to think they just assume most people will just shrug their shoulders and move on.

I am finding it more common, too. Rejected for a variety of (bogus) reasons, and a call usually straightens it out.

Call hasn't straightened it out yet.

Just called with my info this time, last time I didn't get that far.
Was very nice rather than naughty this time, thought I would win her over with the truth and some honey.
She looked it up, I explained to her, then she asked me did I use coupons, I said it didn't say on there I couldn't use coupons and I spent over $50. She said it would have to be through claims department who would look through my application, confirm that it was supposed to be denied claim, and then contact me personally.
I asked if I could speak to the directly and we could look at it together, no go. She kept saying I used coupons, and so I told her on the form it said $50 purchase is subtotaled before coupon redemption. She said I had to pay $50 cash after...
No where does it say how I have to pay for my transaction. I even mentioned I had store credit in the form of extra bucks that I could have used to purchase anything in the store, yet I chose to buy PG for the rebate.
She didn't want to argue, said that the correct dept would contact me and maybe they would be able to explain to me better. Hmmph.
Hoping they call me when I have all my paper work together with me. I've sent out a lot of rebates in my time, and so I always dot my "i"s and I usually have copies, proof of mailing etc... Not a happy camper just now.
Will let you know if they contact me what happens. Crossing my fingersBig Grin

Yes. Using one of these was my first experience with a % off coupon. In that experience, even the items that were regular price but advertised in the ad (with the price of the item) did not work.

I live in an area where Red Plum inserts are delivered to my doorstep every Thursday, but this week's insert showed up yesterday and contained the 25% off CVS pass. I'm at work and don't have it on me right now to quote the fine print, but it states that it cannot be used in combination with another CVS coupon.

Did you ask to speak to her Supervisor? I would call one more time, state that you have a denied claim and ask them to pull up your submission. Don't explain the situation, let them lead you through it and if they offer to contact the correct dept., ask and see if a request has been sent. It is possible that the customer service person can't see what you mailed in for the rebate, but ask. If they aren't helpful, THEN ask to speak to a Supervisor.

I not only used coupons on that rebate, but also a free item coupon from P & G with no problems. My oop was less than $2 (tax). Mom also submitted using a $5 off of $30, manufacturer coupons, ECB's, and about $3 in cash. Both of us received our rebates.
Sorry this being such a problem.

I called P & G relations a few years back when there was an Olay rebate that was refused for buying a non-participating product. The UPC's for the bonus packages hadn't been sent to the rebate company. I rec'd my rebate very quickly.

Not that I read that thread, but state law always comes first. As long as CVS is calculating it according to state sales/use tax laws then there is nothing to worry about.
