This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

In my experience the 98% rule does not apply to multiple $/$$. The last one usually ends up beeping if you don't have the exact amount needed. Say for example the 5th 4/20 beeps if my total is $99.33 before handing out any q's. Oxy your a pro, what has you experience been? Experts?

Assuming 9.99 is regular price:

9.99 x 10 = 99.90
(5) 4/20 (I think 98% rules apply to x/xx?) = 79.90
-30% = 55.93
-20% = 44.74
-(10) 3.75/1 Q = 7.24

I'm gonna recheck the prices to see what regular priced gift sets are. I plan to at least triple stack, and if they are regular priced, will make it super super cheap/maybe even MM.

When using multiple $/$$, only the last one scanned applies the 98%. So using 5, you would need to spend $99.60.

I've had a couple beep when I'm short (still within 98% of the overall total, but short of 98% of the last $20). I generally now allot $20 for each except the last, using $19.60 for it.

For example, $39.40: no. But $39.60: yes.

But then again, I had a transaction for $238.99 on BF, and used 12 $4/$20 (12 x 20 = 240, so I was definitely under 98% of that last $20), and it went through just fine...so I don't really know where the line is.

Looking through my spreadsheet, that's been the only time I haven't used my $20 guideline in the last few months, so I dunno if this is something that has changed, or if it may be something that just happens every now and again.
Dontknow (never mind...I had a hidden bogo in there that I wasn't expecting...that's the culprit!

I bought one of these on Sat. the 24th, and got a $1 ecb, limit 1. There were no tags, so I'm unsure of dates.

Did you have any BOGO/BOGO50%/B2G1/etc. items in that order by any chance? I know if the cashier doesn't hit the total button before scanning $/$$'s, the register will still include the "free" items in your subtotal when determining whether you've met the $$ requirement.

I'll also chime in that a $59.60 subtotal worked fine for me last week with 3 $4/$20's. But I know my mom's tried 2 $4/$20's with $39.20 before, and that didn't work. So I think the theories are correct that the 98% rule is only applying to one of the $/$$'s.

I don't *think* so, but the power just went off here for no apparent reason, and shut my computer down (grrrrrr), and I have to take a shower and run out to an appointment. I'll come back later and post my list so you can peruse it!

Were they regularly priced? Or was the 9.99 a sales price?

I'm hearing that Friends&Family 30% may ring up as Xtra Day Discount. Hopefully it will. Will make it even sweeter.

Question, been reading conflicting reports on what happens if your % discount hits the max. For example: $99/.3 = 329.96. I've heard two different reports:

1. You have $350 in non-sales and use the 30%, it will max out at $99 discount.

or

2. It will kick off your % out.

Anyone have any idea which one is correct? I'll probably play it safe, and just buy about $320 worth of non-sale items.

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue with a physical CVS card number not matching the card number when inputting your phone #? Is there any way to make them both match? I never noticed until now that they aren't printing names on ECB.

It actually does match the card, just a little differently. When you use your physical card, it will have the last 4 numbers, but when you use your phone #, it will have the first 4 of the last 5 numbers. For example, if your last 5 numbers were 23456, your phone # will produce an EB with 2345 on it.

Never mind...I did have an inadvertent bogo in it. I did the transaction Saturday night, and Irish Spring was ringing up BOGO from the sale that ended that Saturday. I missed that on my first glance through the list, as I forgot about that overlap. So sorry!

I was in a big hurry tonight, with 2 x 4/20 expiring
hubs called said to meet him 5:30 near one CVS
then called 4pm and said to meet him at a further away location at 5
so I had to really rush

I grabbed 2 venus disp 11.99 ea and can of planters for one trans
afterwards, realized that the 17ecb I paid had to be too much

looking at receipt, I see that I have 2 x $2 mQs instead of a b1g1
thought maybe I gave 2 x $2 MQs but
I don't have the b1g1 Q anymore and remember a Q beeping, clerk scanning override card

is there anything else in that trans that could require over ride like that?

maybe he meant to put in $12...
more cr@p to fix/returnAnnoyed... and I'll have to surrender another one of my precious b1g1 Qs

I did a transaction this morning and had them scan the ES item, showed on my receipt, but di dnot get the 20% of either. I will let it process overnight and maybe try tomorrow.
Still didn't get it today. Did use the 3/15 Q that was next to the sign in Q with no problems. So I don't know. We will see.
