This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

kind of new to me since all my 1 day expired ECB peeped (usually it does not, from my experience). Is there any changes?

The cashier had a hard time to key in every code on each of my ECBs and scanned her card afterwards. I felt bad to have her doing this for me.

Of course, I bought more things and paid additional oops otherwise I would not do so.
For instance, Total cereal in CVS is 5xx but in Kroger is 3xx. $2 more. But at least I can use my ecb to pay for it.
I believe ECB's have always beeped when expired, at least the past few years.

I went back to the same store, same register with my other $5/20 Lumene and my other card. I had a slightly different order but subtotal was still $60 and some change. I handed the cashier the Lumene CRT first and no beeps! Card was scanned first both times. Second time I forgot to give cashier my GBT. Could that make a difference?
wondering if it's a single Lumen over $20 that makes it beepless?

I did other card today
intention was
$50 trans + 20Lumene - Lumene CRT -10/50
but couldn find enough to fill up 50 (not even any EOB lotion)
so I tried it with $50 total, including 20.99 Lumene eye thingy
CRT beepless
10/50 beeped -no surprise

OAN-cannot find my bogo Schick IP anywhere Weeping

Anyone can go and print them if you want, you just have to know where to go. Personally it's much easier for me to get them from my source, all formatted and printable 4 per page and I just go and cut. Otherwise I'd have to print each one, cut out etc... You can print yourself for free, I choose to pay. No difference and neither is illegal or morally wrong imho.

Also you don't think CVS knows we are printing these? They could change the code in a heartbeat if they wanted us to not use these anymore. Again, IMHO they like us using these as it gets us to purchase more. I used to purchase around $100 a week, now I'm lucky if I only spend $2,000 a week.
No, anyone cannot go and print them.

I'll defend, but that's it...you can guess as to why, look back in this thread and you'll see some good reasons.

Nice tidbit for ya. On 08/10/2012 CVS shut down the $4/20 generation and guess what...sales suffered, couponers stopped shopping as much and low and behold the $4/20's came back a week or so later. CVS has the ability to turn them off and besides that spat in August they have allowed us to print and share as many as we want.

Also think about sales numbers for a second. CVS prices are on average 25% higher than Walmart. Add in profit for each item sold and you still have profit from couponers who would have otherwise not purchased an item. If a $4/20 gets me to buy another $20 worth of stuff and CVS still brings in $16 then they are still profiting. It's still a money making situation for them and we all know that's the bottom line.
Where do you get your "facts". What you posted is so untrue, you cannot just spit things out, and think we should believe you. BTW third quarter revenue for CVS was UP 13.3%.
And the so called coupon generator, is also called hacking.

Oh and BTW, if you think you little shopping trips are what keep CVS afloat, you are so mistaken. CVS is a pharmacy first and foremost, front store is nothing more than a convenience to our RX customers.

You're right that the largest mark-ups are on the drugs, but that doesn't mean that the front end sales aren't important. Your posts seem to be to induce anger in the CVS threads, not to inform, help or add deals so I really wonder why you post at all. Dontknow

I have a question:
can someone tell me how the Beauty club total be calculated?
does the total exclude the coupon we use or is it the full price of the item we purchase?

It uses the price you paid, coupons or ECB's don't factor into the tally.

So seems like Idea/Right guard is a daily CRT. So far I have 3 of them and looking for the 4th one. Do they stop the daily crts on saturday? I already scanned my card for today, I am not sure if I get another one if i visit another store and scan the card again today.

TIA

Daily CRTS also print on saturdays. One per day, doesn't matter how many stores you visit.

Speaking of %, has anyone gotten the ES this week? I got it on all cards last Thursday and was hoping for a new one yesterday, but no luck.
I scanned my card last Thursday and did not get ES then. I got my first ES 20% last Friday evening and used it. This morning scanned card, no fresh ES. So maybe they are on 24 hour clock, not calendar day, so another one would print this evening?

Other questions - this was vaguely discussed before and the example given was that if they were printing on Monday then you can delay the expiration date of the fresh one by scanning your card a couple of days later.

But I'd like to get some input from those who had ES printed on Fridays in November and before.

So do you have until Thursday of the following week to scan you card and get ES and then scan again on Friday and get another one, is that right? Or you only have until Saturday and if you don't scan on Friday or Saturday you don't get another one until next Friday?
