yeah, i don't subscribe either and neither does the guy i talked to at the bbq. he has a few free-to-access sites where he gets his sentiment data, then inputs them manually into a very impressive spreadsheet. we hopped on a pc at the bbq and he showed me on google docs.

Yup. Airlines are good trades, not investments.

Long NFLX at the 20sma. 30% short ratio the other day so they're covering in a hurry today. I figure if the trade doesn't work out, I'll send my shares back and get something else.

The DJIA continues to carve out new highs.... when is the fed-induced euphoria going to stop??

Can't say I'm totally annoyed with it though. My longs in WMT PFE V and MA are printing new highs today.

Topping usually is violent process. I'm looking for a few daily VIX closes 12 and below, maybe 10 to even begin to "worry." Everyone and their sister is asking the same thing: "when is it going to stop?" "It has to "crash" sometime." As long as that mentality exists, it will plow right over the bears IMHO.

I stared a thread about playing the election and the risk trade is at a near perfect 1:1 with Obama into 2013. So far, it's tracked beautifully. I realize the rally off the 09 bottom is becoming weaker and the volume is a joke, but that doesn't stop Them from scraping every last penny off the floor before it gives out.

I'm just curious, but what are some of you guy's annual return percentages for option trading?

i've been sit-on-hands most of this year and plan to do so until the hopium wears off. '10 and '11 were great for me. just need to jump in when it gets good again...

with swing/day trades, i was making 15-20% of cost basis (making few k on 10-15k positions; holding a day or less). sometimes you're on and double/triple up (usually need the market to move 100-200 pts. in your direction), but a few times the market moves against you w/ option going to (near) zero and expiring worthless.
