I didn't get an email, but when I went in to check on my account settings I had email alerts shut off and had unclicked to send emails to me about Disney Movie Rewards... I guess these 5-10 points lost were my lesson to turn these settings on.

Heads up for those interested in the Hollywood Movie Money [go.com] Reward. Not sure how long it's been back but you can get $10 movie money for only 425 points (much better value than $10 Starbucks for 1000 points!).

Last time they had this offer, you could only redeem once per account. This time, I think you can redeem unlimited times. I just redeemed for 4 x $10!

Adult movie ticket for me is usually $8.50 plus $2.50 for 3D upgrade, so with the $10 HMM, you only have to pay $1 for a 3D movie. Kids tickets are around $6 plus the $2.50 3D upgrade so they'd go free (but it's better value for an adult to use the $10 because they don't give change). You have to pay cash for the balance as they can't add a second card # to the purchase.

It says these are for Disney Movies, but my husband and I used our last tickets for The Avengers and The Hunger Games without any issues. It just acts as a credit card number. When I cut out the voucher, I make sure to cut off the bit that says 'for a Disney Movie' just in case, LOL.

If you're interested in the upcoming Disney Movies they're:

Chimpanzee - 04/20
Brave (3D) - 06/22
Phineas & Ferb - 07/26
The Odd Life Of Timothy Green - 08/15
Finding Nemo 3D - 09/14
Frankenweenie (3D) - 10/05
Wreck-it-Ralph - 11/02
Monsters Inc 3D - 01/18/13
Oz The Great and Powerful - 03/08/13
The Lone Ranger - 05/31/13

But like I said, you can really use these for any movie.

You have until 31st December 2012 to activate your money (and then print it) and once printed, you have 6 months on top of that to use it.

Quote from Terms & Conditions :

Also if you have Edwards theaters around you Fandango is awesome. They also have other theaters and just process the 10$ movie cash as a cc to turn it into a Fandango gc which NEVER expires. Just a tip.

My nearest theater that takes Fandango tickets/bucks is over 30 mins away but this would be awesome for those who have a closer theater. Smilie

Thanks for the heads up. It actually says "Limit 4 redemptions per member" at the bottom of the description, so either they added the limit after too many people started redeeming, or you got lucky and ordered just as many as you were allowed! Smilie

The last time I used HMM was on the John Carter promo. When I gave the full-page printout to the cashier -- with "John Carter" emblazoned everywhere -- she asked what movie I wanted to use it for, lol. When I replied, "Uh... John Carter?", she laughed. I'm still not sure if she was laughing at her own question or at my choice of movie (I was one of only three people in the theatre before the trailers started, although our numbers eventually tripled). I didn't see the max redemption. I only had enough points for 4 anyhow. Apparently they're sold out now.

I don't think the theater really cares what they're used for. It's just cash to them.

You have to be quick apparently.

I got 10 pts from the newsletter bonus promotion.

No Hollywood cash, because it sold out, but I was planning on getting one of those airline voucher things in the future so I should not be using my points for anything, really.

Got an email invitation to take survey for 100 points DMR, but after log in, found 3 surveys for 25, 50 and 100 points. It is not "free" if you consider your time spent on that, but took me about 10 minutes, and I actually read all the questions.Wink
here is the link to the survey list after you log in. [go.com] I can't guarantee you get the surveys as me, so ymmv.
