Please keep discussion about the deal, not how much you currently pay (unless you can give explicit and repeatable instructions on how to do so now)

The difference between Ultra-Sport, Super Sport, Sport, Active/Lite are the ammenities they offer--though its classifications are vague and subjective. Just do a "club" search at http://www.24hourfitness.com/FindClubForm.do to figure out what the nearest club you want to visit offers.

Thanks, sdallnct:

Can't beat $12.50/mo.? I pay $50/year for an all-club 24 Hour Fitness membership.

Oh boy! My bad, folks! Apparently 24 does NOT do renewal deals any longer. DO NOT waste your time checking on what kind of in-club deal you can get. Simply purchase this Costco deal (which was posted months ago and has been ongoing since) and enjoy your $12.50/mo membership. "IT CAN'T BE BEAT!"

Congrats on your rate. ..I'm sure you're well aware your membership fee is NOT the norm, or anything that's been offered in some time.

"Can't beat" refers to people not grandfathered - or great-grandfathered - in to an older, cheaper plan. Something tells me you already knew that, though. Wink2

Paid through the nose for the first three years. Wink Actually wasn't TOO bad. I believe I paid around $23/mo for the first three years, with the option to pay $50/year for as long as I like. Awesome deal if you're planning on being a member for the long haul.

This Costco deal isn't bad at all, but if you're planning on going for several years, might want to check out what kind of deals you can get in-club.

OP is talking about a deal that is readily available and can be shared with fellow SD'rs right?

Pardon my last post, then, if this is something still ongoing. I know when I signed up back in 2003, they had options where you could pay in advance, then get multiple years at a discounted rate, but I heard they stopped running promotions like that a few years back. When did you get your deal?

This particular Costco deal was great for me the last time it came around last Fall. At 24 Hour Fitness in 2003, I started out paying $24/month for the 1-club, 4-day/week plan. After a few months, upgraded to 7-day/week plan for $3 more, then to all-club for another $7 a few months after that. Paid nearly $40/month for ~5 years until buying this the last time. If there were options to have a cheaper rate after so many years, they sure as hell never told me. In fact, I called corporate several times over the years and asked, each time being told "No." I even tried threatening to cancel my membership, to which they replied, "OK!"

I may pick up another one to have when my current one runs out. If it's the same as last time, there's no expiration date.

I just paid for my first year at $50 this past summer, so getting close to 4 years when I signed up. That's too bad they no longer off those kinds of promotions.

From what I know, they don't run this anymore. I paid $600 for 3 years up front. now it is also $50/year for all clubs except the Ultra. I did this in 2004.

My buddy did the same a few years before me, he pays $20 a year. But I don't believe we can get these anymore. If they do, I'm buying my gf one.
