Add the 10% coupon from post office and this could really be great.

I think the quality is good for a DIY'er, not a contractor.
I believe this is the same as Northern Tools but haven't done a side/side comparison.

Pick one up today, been looking at for a while. Lowest ever was 199. For 129 that is a steal.

Anyone seen a deal on a compressor to power these?

read some reviews. People have complained that the 21 degree framing nails are hard to find without buying is huge bulk. I believe 22 degree is the more common nails.

if you look around in the paint department, you can also find $10 of $50 coupons attached to the blue painters tape. So if you don't have time to run to the PO to get a 10% off, you can atleast get another $10 off.

Just picked one up tonight. It was the last one in the store and had an open box but the inner packaging was sealed. Been eying this for a while but kept hesitating on the $priced. Guess my patients has paid off cause this was a steal.

I also bought this [lowes.com] air compressor for $149. It has enough power and was a fair price. They had one for $99 which I think will technically have enough power but it seemed rather small and week for only $50 less.

Anyway, $278 for 4 nail guns and a decent sized compressor is a heck of a good price. You would be hard pressed to find a good framing nailer for much less. Thanks OP

You made the right call on the compressor. Nice price. I'm going to have to consider making a trip to pick one up before the sale ends. They had the nail gun pack in store before the sale but quickly pulled them off....for some reason. But that is OK, I think I will pass on those...have a bunch anyway.

I almost bought the Bostitch compressor but decided to hold out for the PC...glad I waited. Thanks!

I was just reading the manual and it states you can use 20, 21 or 22 degree nails.

I wanted to post an update in case anyone was still considering this item. I spent the last 3 weekends installing a stockade fence around my entire property. The framing nailer made the job go so so so much faster. It took me over 2 full days, with a construction grade power post digger, to get the post holed dug and the posts set. It took me less than 3 hours to nail the panels to the posts. I would estimate that 3 or 4 times the gun jammed but only when I was down to a few nails left in the chamber. It was always easy to take out the jammed nail and continue working.

I can now confirm that the nails are hard to find. If you plan ahead you can find them online in smaller quantities. I unfortunately did not plan ahead and went to my local home depot. I grabbed an employee and asked about smaller quantities and he said that since this is typically a contractor’s item they don't sell them in smaller quantities. I ended up buying 4000 nails for $50. I am now considering building myself a new house, laugh out loud .

The 6 gallon porter cable compressor I purchased did the job and then some. The compressor would kick up a little sooner than I would expect but at no time was I using more air than it could recharge.

If you were thinking about this and your local Lowes still has it at this price I would recommend pulling the trigger.
