Enjoyed this one very much. It shows the fraternity amongst monks as well as their dedication to the community they serve.

Also delves a bit into the coexistence between Islam and Christianity along with the division between Islam and militant Islam.

44 Inch Chest [imdb.com]

Quote : A jealous husband and his friends plot the kidnapping of his wife's lover with the intention of restoring his wounded ego.

British film with a hell of a cast; Ray Winstone, Tom Wilkinson, Ian McShane and John Hurt.

The acting was great but I can't say that I enjoyed it very much. Then again, I was expecting something totally different. Instead of a nice gangster movie, it was a character study of sorts.

Burke and Hare [imdb.com]

Nice cast with Tom Wilkinson, Simon Peg, Andy Serkis and Tim Curry.


Hilarious movie if you are into "British" comedy.

Interesting. Jim Carey ad Ewan McGregor as lovers, based on a true story. 6 out of 10 stars.

I don't know about his scratching theory. But I was wondering how you scratch yourself in a place so difficult to reach.

Also, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Not as good as I thought it would be. I went in not knowing what to expect - didn't know the story or anything like that.

I watched a couple 80's movies the other day

The Big Chill - Solid acting, great 80's haircuts, really took me back to the 80's...loved it

Working Girl - Melanie Griffith and Sigourney Weaver are lights out in this...oh and that Harrison Ford guy isnt bad either. classic 80s flick.

Lottery Ticket - 2/5 - Moral of the story, always sign your name on the back of a winning ticket.

Okuribito (Departures) [imdb.com]

Don't know how I managed to stumble across this movie, but god, I am sooo glad that I did. I was completely mesmerized by it but I honestly have no idea why. It just kind of grabbed me and sucked me in. Maybe it was the cello ?

Anyways, for those into subtitles, I would highly recommend it.

BTW, unlike just about everything else I seem to watch, this one did NOT involve rape, robbery, murder, blood, gore, bullets, swords, criminals, drugs or the police. Yep, none of the above and it was still one of the better movies that I have watched in a while.

It's easily one of my favorites of the last decade - that soundtrack is beautiful and the story is fantastic.

The same guy that did this soundtrack also did "Kikujiro" - it's another heartwarming one (with some laugh out loud oddball stuff.)

Foo Fighters: Back and Forth (2011) and Little Fockers (2010). Back and Forth was of course amazing, and Little Fockers had some good moments. Not as bad as I figured it would be.
