They both came out at the same time, but for some reason everyone seems to only remember The Prestige. I liked The Illusionist more than The Prestige, but I thought they were both great movies.

that movie just didn't provide enough of "something" to make me remember it or endear to it. I guess the Prestige kept you guessing so much and was so snarling intense that it gets into your head more. Both movies were well acted though and both are well worth the watch.
