This is the new official thread for the Winn-Dixie grocery store chain.

Please note, that the weekly ad will not be 100% completely typed up as far as the meat/produce specials, unless it is a bogo deal. W/D offers a lot of deals on meat and produce (sometimes up to three pages worth) and it would be cluttersome and tiresome to type it completely up.

OT is permitted in this thread. Please keep it minimal if all possible, but I understand that sometimes we have VERY slow weeks @ W/D, so more chit-chat will be happening. I'm okay with that! It's what makes our community here stronger Smilie

Anyone and everyone is welcome to help contribute. I will have the ad typed up and in the wiki Tuesday night, and start the matchups on Wednesday a.m. If you catch a deal, post it!

Thanks! hug

Coupons at Winn Dixie
Unfortunately there is no official coupon policy but here is a copy of an email that I received when I inquired:

Quote :
Please accept my apology but I am unable to send copies of policies.
As far as the use of coupons is concerned, Winn-Dixie will honor its store coupons and
manufacture coupons, these type coupons are useable in any chain where the item is sold.
Winn-Dixie does not honor other store coupons; these type coupons are issued for the
purpose of generating sales in a particular food chain and therefore are only useable in
that chains store, Winn-Dixie would be unable to receive credit for those coupons. There
are also times when Winn-Dixie will double or triple coupons, this is done randomly and
will always be noted in the flyer as well as the store where the promotion is going on.
Other than that coupons are handled per the instructions stated. Of course no outdated or
coupons missing date info are accept.
I hope this information is helpful. Winn-Dixie does appreciate you shopping with us.

Okay,

How about this?

I will do like what is done for Publix, and create a post with a weekly ad, then link to that in the Wiki.

That will free up the Wiki and we can go ahead and do a Clearance section and a Catalina section there. We could also have coupons found at Winn Dixie. There are very few W/D store coupons other than $10/$50, but they have this new "clip free" coupon that comes off when you scan your card. Next time I make it to W/D I will get a list of what is currently out there (or at least at my store).

Also, I know peeps in Publix thread said that the red color was hard to read on the eyes, so let's do a quick poll of what color matchups can be done in? We will only have printables and mq's.

I think the Dark Purple is easy on the eyes, along with maybe the dark blue?

Thanks plgffl for the WD thread. I went to WD today for CG bogo. As stated the coupons do auto-deduct but after the first bogo q I needed mgr. intervention. The mgr. scanned my coupons I paid $2 something oop and got the $10 cat. I am trying to figure out if there is an amt limit on q's scanned at self check.

I know every store is different but I have been able to use rr's at wd, on my receipt it says mc.

Thanks so much for starting this thread. It is much appreciated

One of the biggest questions is...

How do we get the 10/50???
Is there any rhyme or reason

I used to get it at least once a week, usually on a weekend.

Now I can't remember the last time I received one. Mad

So are these store coupons then (though automatically done via card)? Can I use a MQ with them?

Thanks!

I shop at WD and I use coupons on bogo items but I do it in a sly manner. I've run into an issue before where when I tried to use 2 coupons on a bogo it was denied by the cashier bc I was getting one item for free already. There is no set corp policy so it's up to the person on duty if they'll allow it or not. Now when I check out I don't give them my card until the very end of the transaction after I've used all my coupons. When the cashier asks for my card I tell them something along the lines of "Oh I like to wait until the very end to use it. I love seeing the total drop down,it's my only real thrill in my life since I've had children" They usually laugh and just do my card after all my stuff and coupons are rung up. Coverlaugh

Not only is it BOGO but it is printing out a $10.00 Catalina when your purchase is over 30.00 and $7.00 if it is over 20 (before coupons of course). I have not tried this yet but have read about several people doing it. The pressed powders and the blush don't beep at all and the BOGO coupn deducts the full amount. But if you mix them in the same purchase, the register will want to take off the lower amount so make sure you do all the powders together in one transaction, all the blush in another etc.

I did the catalina covergirl today. Did not work yesterday with mixed products. The cashiers were saying that I have to actually buy one to get one free with 2 covergirl coupons. I went in today to try it again.

The store director helped me out. He said the registers are not set up for stacking and that they do not have the true bogo sales so it will not ring up as it will at rite aid with 2 bogo covergirl coupons. He personally had to check me out since it requires an overide . I bought 4 of the 10.99 tru blend w/ brush makeup. Used 2 bogo qs and it worked fine . Got 28.00 in catalinas.

We have a flyer at registers buy any 3 of these GMills cerals
12.12 oz honey nut cheerios, 11.25 oz lucky charms. 12.8 oz cinnamon toast crunch 14 oz cheerios or 11.25 oz cookie crisp

and get all this free

2.2 oz tyson fully cooked bacon
11.5 oz bag maxwell house
gallon winn dixie milk
blue bird sugar donuts

I also noticed veet on clearance for 2.69 if you have the 3.00 IP woot Lots of oralb toothbrushes 2.49 I think.
1.00 off any candle peelies on the long lighters by the candles.

Yes you can use MQ with these. These are just basically sale prices for members of the baby club. I don't think it will work if you just scan your card and are not a member of the baby club. I am not sure about that though.

As far as my experience is concerned.... all BOGO coupons require a manager over-ride and on each coupon. Not like he just has to over-ride one time.

Last night was the first time I found a BOGO item that worked without manager over-ride with a BOGO coupon. The Cover Girl Advanced Radiant ($11.29) actually deducted the $11.29 and the cashier just had to write in the price.

I tried the Simply Ageless and the TruBlend w/ brush and both did require manager intervention and per usual all the standard excuses.

Has anyone tried to "roll" the $10 P&G? It says not good on other P&G, but I don't see how that can cause problems kicking out another. Going to try later this afternoon.

Someone else reported the press powdered and the blush don't require a manager intervention either.

I never studied up on coding of coupons but I think the reason why some of the CG products don't auto deduct or even work is because their upcs don't match the coupon. I also tried to get the mineral makeup with the brush and not only would the coupon not auto deduct, but the register wouldn't accept it at all (even before scanning wd card) and the mgr was called. Long story short, he wasn't going to allow me to use it on that product, nor would he allow me to get 2 products free on a bogo. I thanked him and went down the street to another WD (luckily I was going to be passing it anyway), and that's when I noticed the difference of the upcs and it struck me. So I got the ones that were $11.29 and they auto deducted beautifully. I only had a total of 2 bogo coupons, so got 4 products and nothing else and cashier didn't bat an eye. Got out of there paying $1.59 in tax and got the $7.00 cat, so I'm a happy camper.

So my thinking is that any product that has the same beginning #'s as the #'s on the coupon will auto deduct. I wish I would have thought to look at that at the first store.

I would have preferred to have had the mineral makeup since that is what I use (haven't tried CG though). I'm wondering if I can go back at a later date with the receipt and exchange them. Anyone have any experience with exchanges like that? I'm thinking it really shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry for another W-D newb question from me, but just trying to learn a new game. Big Grin

I know what a Catalina is. I know what rolling is. I'm a former Wags RR addict. laugh out loud But what kind of Catalinas spit out at W-D? I've heard of the $ off total purchase Qs, now this is a $10 P&G Catalina like a Wags RR/992 (usable on most anything besides the usual alcohol, GCs, etc.)?

lovefashion, could you breakdown your $28.00 in Catalinas for me? I already want to rep you, but need to wait. Smilie

And thanks, sunshinemom, for the answer to the WDQ question!

The catalinas say save 7.00 on your next shopping order compliments of P&G. No rx and other items prohibited by law. One coupon per purchase. Not valid on P&G items.

I tried at my least favorite store this morning and don't have an answer. I tried the $10 and it beeped; but I also knew the $10 would have eaten into tax, so I quickly stopped her from calling the manager. Tried again using the $7 and it beeped as well and had to stop her from calling the manager again. The cashier just said it was because of being a high dollar coupon, that it always needs manager intervention - which is definitely true for Winn Dixie. However, this manager hates coupons and I didn't feel like arguing.

I'll try a friendlier WD later or I'll just wait for Publix. They're scannable MQs.
