This is the new official thread for the Winn-Dixie grocery store chain.

Please note, that the weekly ad will not be 100% completely typed up as far as the meat/produce specials, unless it is a bogo deal. W/D offers a lot of deals on meat and produce (sometimes up to three pages worth) and it would be cluttersome and tiresome to type it completely up.

OT is permitted in this thread. Please keep it minimal if all possible, but I understand that sometimes we have VERY slow weeks @ W/D, so more chit-chat will be happening. I'm okay with that! It's what makes our community here stronger Smilie

Anyone and everyone is welcome to help contribute. I will have the ad typed up and in the wiki Tuesday night, and start the matchups on Wednesday a.m. If you catch a deal, post it!

Thanks! hug

Coupons at Winn Dixie
Unfortunately there is no official coupon policy but here is a copy of an email that I received when I inquired:

Quote :
Please accept my apology but I am unable to send copies of policies.
As far as the use of coupons is concerned, Winn-Dixie will honor its store coupons and
manufacture coupons, these type coupons are useable in any chain where the item is sold.
Winn-Dixie does not honor other store coupons; these type coupons are issued for the
purpose of generating sales in a particular food chain and therefore are only useable in
that chains store, Winn-Dixie would be unable to receive credit for those coupons. There
are also times when Winn-Dixie will double or triple coupons, this is done randomly and
will always be noted in the flyer as well as the store where the promotion is going on.
Other than that coupons are handled per the instructions stated. Of course no outdated or
coupons missing date info are accept.
I hope this information is helpful. Winn-Dixie does appreciate you shopping with us.

last night at two different w/d tried to do the covergirl. I purchased the eyeshadow 7.99 and eye liners 7.99, I bought a total of 8 in each tx and manager had to overide each bogo q and I did not get either the 7 or the 10 cat. my daughter purchased the over 30 in foundation 7.99 ea and got the cat and her q's auto deducted. she also did a tx with the more expensive 10xx or 11.xx something and that one auto deducted and got the 10 cat.
To clarify... you bought 8 TOTAL between 2 transaction, in other words 4 items per order? If this is the way I'm reading it, you only had $16 toward the $30. You have to be $30 after the BOGO part of the Winn Dixie offer.

If you bought all 8 in one transaction you should have gotten the $10.

So I think I did it wrong. I had 2 True blends @ 10.99 each used bogo Q but did not get reward. I'm guessing I screwed up. From what I'm reading I should have had another 10.99 to get the 7.00. I thought it counted before Q's not after. I did this 5 times GrrrrrrrMad

No way to fix this.

How long is this sale going on?

Sorry to be slow, but is the 10 cat related to the P&G deal? ie does this mean that the CG makeup is part of the P&G deal? TIA!

Yep if you bought all 8 @ 7.99 at one time with 4 bogo Qs you should have received a 10.00 cat unless the machine was out of paper or offline. Can she call the catalina company like at walgreens?

What is the over 30 foundation? So your daughter did not have to have manager intervention at all?

Thanks so now we know for sure some registers are not programmed to stack bogo coupons and the winn dixie card has no influence on this.

Yes it is! Buy 30.00 for 10.00 cat and 20.00 for 7 cat. The totals only count one out of the two so you have to use more than one coupon on each transaction.

I did purchase 8 total in each order. When I asked about the cat they said i was getting it free. Daughter showed her receipt where she used the bogo mq and got the 10.00 cat and they said she just got lucky, she shouldn't have gotten it. Asked for a void and a rering. said they would but they wouldn't let me use the bogo mq's.. That I couldn't get them for free. Did a refund at that store and they gave me back my mq's and amount that I paid out of pocket. Next store same problem same response but went ahead and kept the covergirl... wanted the liners and the eye shadow

no. she did not have to have manager intervention. the cashier just had to input the price to take off. She got some of liquid foundation that was priced at $7.99. She bought 8 of those in one transaction and used 4 bogo mq's The next store she got 6 of the more expensive (radiance I think) foundation priced at 10.99 used 3 bogo mq.
Today at a different winn dixie. I got the 6 of the foundations priced at 11.29 used 3 bogo mq (register just asked for price) and finally got a 10.00 cat and i also got a 10 off 50 did a happy dance. I also found 5 of the tide stain release huge bottles marked down to 6.24 so did a transaction with them using 5 of the 3 off mq and got my 10 cat for those. ok...end of long winded post

At Winn Dixie you really have to stand your ground and be ready for all of the excuses, oopps REASONSBig Grin, why something didn't work. In general the whole Winn Dixie Corp, just is not coupon friendly.

First you must immediately correct anyone who gives you that "you can't have it free" crap. You PAID with a coupon..... coupon, cash, credit it's all the same and the store gets paid all the same. If it was free, you wouldn't have bothered going through a check-out. Furthermore, your BOGO coupon is not affected by Winn Dixie's BOGO promo, you are simply taken advantage of their sale, which I believe is what they want you to do.

Secondly your daughter didn't "get lucky", geez the computer's not a crapshoot. You should've just laughed hysterically at that excuse.

My only guess is one or more of the items might not be the 37000 family code for P&G. I ran into some make-up that had 2007 expiration dates. I didn't look at the family code, but it's possible older product might have a different code.

You might want to talk to the store manager and try and get a Winn Dixie gift card or contact Catalina. Bring the receipts that you got the $10 also. ....and bring up the fact with the manager that coupons ARE CASH and tell him you would appreciate if his cashiers understood that.

I would definitely contact the catalina company. Where is the 3 MQ for tide?

Disastrous first time at W-D (Broward, Hiatus & 84). Have you ever spent over an hour at the CS desk for three transactions (or really, just one successful one and one partially successful)? I kept my cool, but walked away in awe of what I was witness to: registers that were programmed so that they couldn't type in a price on an item that didn't come up in the system (CG/Olay blush, price marked on shelf). Yes, the four people involved were clueless ("purchase" vs. "transaction", "Clean CG" only, then "face product" even though all the eye stuff had BOGO signs everywhere, too). But the register's inability to do what needed to be done (and overrides were handled by co-workers overriding each other's machines!) was incredible.

I was told their machines are programmed to allow only one BOGO Q per transaction with a BOGO purchase on it. That was after the first person rang up only TWO items instead of the 6 items I wanted to get the P&G (to "help" me). The last thing I had done was them refunding this initial charge of about 70 cents onto a gift card (got a $10 GC when 2nd Catalina didn't print) and 65 cents also went back on and she said, "You'll get extra." When I asked why, she said the system always puts tax back on, too. So they are programmed to give AWAY extra money but can't manually enter in a two $14 blushes sale to MAKE money?! Confused

I was told the 2nd cat didn't print because there was a limit of one P&G deal per card. (He called someone - corporate? - to ask why it didn't print.) So they tried to use another card, and then gave up and were going to give me a $10/$50, which I balked at (even as a competitor Q...$10/$10 is better!). They still wanted to try the 3rd transaction, and by this point, I was 50-50 on walking out, but the smarter (I thought) guy was there so I had hope. But he did my transaction (of only $7 cat value this time), told me I owed $12 and didn't realize that was wrong. At this point, I gave up and left with my 2 trannies of $125 worth of makeup for about $4 in tax, a W-D GC (guess I have to go back! laugh out loud) for $11.xx, a $10 PG cat, and and two hours of experience under my belt. Big Grin

Yeah, it was still all worth it this time, but I have never thought of walking out during one of these tough trannies. I usually have no problem sticking it out, knowing that it will eventually work out. At Wags, I'd have someone else come over to fix whatever was causing the problem (yes, I found the right stores!), but here, it seemed it wasn't even possible, or the right person wasn't in the store to make it happen? I don't know.

If my health allows, I might hit another store before the sale ends tomorrow. I have a GC burning a hole in my pocket and more Qs. Wink

I've got 4 BOGO Qs to use, all with an amount already written inside the box (since that trannie had to be voided). Will I likely have a problem using those Qs? Will someone assume they were stolen from a cashier's drawer?!

Bought 6 liquid foundations (the only Covergirl product over $10 in my store in Lutz, FL). Used 3 BOGO qs, scanned card first. Qs went without beeps, paid $2.xx OOP (tax). Got $10 P&G Cat, $10/$40 Cat and $5/$30 Baby Products Cat from the Winn-Dixie Baby Club.

This made me think about other P&G items for this promo. I think Pampers jumbo packs are $10.99 so 3 are $32.97, minus Man Q from the P&G insert $1.50 ($1.50 X 3 = $4.50), minus $5/$30 Cat = $23.47 + tax, get $10 Cat. Nets out to about $5 per pack or 50% off!

Wow 2 hrs you have a lot of patience.Big Grin I walked out after 10 minutes the first time I tried this. I was not going to argue you have to bo to go using the coupons. Went back the next day hoping for a mgr and luckily he was right there when I came in. Mgr did tell me the registers are not equipped to stack bogos on bogo sale so do not get mad the cashiers do not understand this .

I think my people DID know this - and that's why they said to come back to the CS desk to ring it up (I had gone to CS to ask a question first).

How did the manager handle it, or did he/she? Sounds like you did the deal on the 2nd day, but I wasn't sure from your post. I'm always up for educating cashiers to make their lives easier when they deal with me. Wink

And, just to clarify, your manager said the problem was using a BOGO Q with a BOGO sale? I was told that wasn't the problem, it was trying to do it more than one time in a transaction.
