20 Piece Chicken McNuggets $4.99 + tax @ McDonald's

Thread Details

I searched and didn't see this so I'll post it.

I went to McDonald's on my way home and they're doing a $4.99 20 piece deal and a $9.99 deal with the 20 nuggets, 2 medium fries, and 2 medium drinks.

I suppose it's a promotion for the new Shrek movie, since that's what's on the box.

I got the $4.99 deal plus a medium sweet tea + tax (7% in FL) for $7.26 total. Not bad on the nuggets, but the tea was a rip off.

Not sure if this is nation wide, but I would assume. Found in Tampa, FL

mcdonalds in my region has had this deal for almost a year. decent deal if u get em fresh out the fryer, otherwise its a poor value even at this price. fyi- drinks r where most food places make the majority of their $ so of course ur tea was a rip off.

I know that on the drinks, but we don't have this deal in my region. Just thought I'd share, suppose it's not really that great of a deal then (but it was delicious).

After getting a nugget in my last batch that was still frozen in the middle, I don't think I can eat these for awhile with out wanting to vomit. Nice deal though...

isn't a 4 piece .99? If so you're actually getting ripped off about 5 cents =/ on that 20 pack.

you can get a 10 piece for $2 in some Detroit metro areas.

So these are about $.25 more than 20 Wendy's nuggets

In order to get the $2 10 Piece, you have to purchase a medium drink and medium fries too..

I wish it was, here. I forget how much they are, but they're a lot more than Wendy's nuggets and not as good of a quality. However, I do like McDonald's hot mustard sauce and though they may not be as good of a quality, I still enjoy them every once in a while. But my 2-year-old won't touch them. But if they had a 4-piece for $1, I might get them everyonce in a while for myself, since I sometimes crave the hot mustard sauce.

As for the tea, a large sweet tea is only $1 here. It's starting to get that way at almost every fast food restaurant. I know Wendy's has $1 sweet tea, and I'm pretty sure Hardee's does too. Arby's used to, but not sure if they're still doing it or not. When McDonald's was the only one that did it, I'd buy my food somewhere else and then go to McD's to get the sweet tea, especially since it's really good (probably the best in the fast food market).

First off people saying it isn't a deal because you have a $1 4-piece should hold your breath.

Here in Illinois, the home of McDonalds, they took that $1 4 piece off at least 2 years ago. We haven't had it since and never have any of these so called chicken nugget deals.

I will check my McDonalds next time I go there, but here in the Chicagoland area and suburbs, I never see ANY deals on nuggets

And those comparing to Wendy's... calm down, there is no comparison. Sure the Wendy's one may taste more "real" but when you are eating this crap, who goes for real? McDonalds nuggets have always tasted the best and always will

You're better off spending that 4.99 on some rotisserie chicken from Walmart or Sams. That processed "sewer" meat in the nuggets is bad for ya.
