Need help!
Tons of CVS brands lotions are on clearance In the most recent RIB coupon booklet, there is $3 off any one cvs hydrating product shown. I search CVS site but can't tell or find the one pictured in the store. Is it a Cerave equivalant? I can barely read what it says in the tiny picture Help. im wondering if i can use these on any "hydrating" cvs product... |

What I've always wondered is just how cheap these retailers will wholesale their unsaleable/discontinued/etc inventory out for. This guy buys it by the pallet so it's always mixed with some junk as well as some good stuff. I just can't see it being any cheaper than the 75% off that it sometimes gets marked down to, which is why it might be easier for them just to box it up and send it off rather than dealing with it themselves. |

I almost always see Target holiday clearance items at my local Goodwill maybe a month after they're salvaged. I'm guessing they must get some kind of tax credit? The pallet/truckload sales, I'm guessing, must be saving them money in the long run in staffing hours. It takes time to ticket, enter in the system, and make space for the endcap clearance.

they have a for profit relationship w/ goodwill so they sell it to goodwill and don't get any tax credit. the pallet/truckload sales clears sales floor space to put full-priced items which gives them a chance for higher profit margin than clearance that for whatever reason hasn't sold within a certain period of time. you may have noticed that target brings new products in constantly and some new products to the market are clearanced out even before the tv ad hits the waves. Here's some of the 75% off stuff I saw today...
Several Skin Effects Products CVS Skin Care (Neutrogena generics) Shampoos/Hair Care Purpose Cream Burts Bees SmartLean Weight Loss Supplement A few others as well, but the vast majority of the overall clearance tickets were at 75% off which is a pretty rare find. |

If you happen to possess those Physician's Formula coupons(EXP.12/31/12) found at Walmart a while ago, not only do they make the clearanced eye/face creams($4.xx-$5.xx) free, the overage goes to cover anything in the same transaction and even tax if you don't scan your card first. |
