Yea, that's pretty insane. I thought I had a good summer with the AMG, Porsche, and Cadillac events. Wish I could test out a Lotus though. Damn.

Any word on how to sign up for the other cities that Land Rover will be going to?

Just got back from the events.

There were so many events going on around the Monterey area. Outside the Pebble Beach area & around Carmel they had Porsche, another Land Rover, & I think I also saw signs for a BMW test drive event....

Other than Porsche and Land Rover, everything was walk-up registration. Bugatti also had test drives, but I didn't bother as they probably had requirements.
Dang! I'm only about a 1.5 hour drive away from Pebble Beach. I'd gotten emails from Lexus about them unveiling some cars at Pebble Beach (but they didn't seem like invitations to attend). I'd seen this thread earlier but didn't think I could get into anything without an invite. Frown

I guess I'll take a risk driving during there next year.

also found out that Ford will have an event for the 2012 Focus, they will be announcing the dates and locations later this month.
""Later this month, Ford plans to launch a nationwide tour that will allow consumers to test drive a 2012 Focus through a video game-like course designed to highlight the vehicle's technology and handling.""

I guess there will be a laser on the bottom of the car in the middle and you are suppose to drive over objects on the course, if you go over the object you will hear either a guitar or crowd cheering, if you do not go over the object, you hear moans and sighs.

Check out this writeup on the event.

Not a yawn for me. I did go to one of the early Leaf events in the Seattle area in November 2010. Back then, I don't believe the car was shipping yet. Don't expect significant freebies at the Leaf events beyond cookies, water and instant coffee. The purpose was educate people on the car, its features (e.g. Carwings), infrastructure, the J1772 standard, etc. and let people drive them.

I'm considering leasing one after I know my future job situation and commute distance. (I used to have a 350Z as my 2nd car and still like performance and sports cars, but my focus has changed.)

Dear Cadillac Culinary Enthusiast,

Due to overwhelming feedback in the Miami market, the venue location for the Cadillac Culinary Challenge has changed to The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. The Galleria is a wonderful retail epicenter which will be an ideal back-drop for Cadillac to showcase its luxury vehicles and for you to enjoy an entertaining culinary battle.

We apologize for any inconvenience this change in location may have caused. To make this change as seamless as possible, your existing reservation for the Cadillac Culinary Challenge at Palm Beach Gardens will carry over to the new event location of The Galleria. There is no need for action on your end. We look forward seeing you in November at The Galleria for the Cadillac Culinary Challenge! Please visit www.cadillacchallenge.com or call 855.422.3455 for additional details or with questions.

The Galleria is located at 2414 East Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 (Phone) 954-564-1015

Thank You,
The Cadillac Events Team

Cadillac is moving their November event from the beautiful Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens to the old, lack of parking, Galleria Mall in Ft Lauderdale. No thanks.

Not that great you basically drive around a city block and that's about it. They have a few different models as well as some of the rivals models to compare against. If you are a foodie the cooking demo will most likely be more exciting then the driving portion.

I agree went to it last year not that great. Drove a block around the Irvine Spectrum in Socal and that's it. Don't expect much.

who wants to get some golf lessons from david leadbetter??

from http://www.cadillacclinics.com/

A unique opportunity is waiting for you and your guest on the golf course and on the road. All at the Cadillac Innovation Golf Clinic, presented to you by Cadillac’s partners, The David Leadbetter Golf Academy and Callaway.

Come enjoy exclusive instruction by David Leadbetter, the “Father of the modern golf swing,” as well as a walking clinic with a PGA TOUR® player. Learn how to improve your game and receive a personalized professional video assessment of your swing.

You and your guest can also experience Cadillac performance with a personal test drive of the entire 2011 Cadillac line-up of luxury vehicles. It’s an exceptional experience for those who are passionate about being the best.

call 1-800-605-3020 to get a code. I think they are doing this in several different spots around the US.
I called and got a code for the event in Half Moon Bay, get some tips from David LEadbetter and also get to follow Hunter Mahan around a few holes . They said they videotape your swing, also get a cance to drive some Caddies.

They said they also had Poway CA and one other spot in CA, which I do not remember.

I sugest also siginign up for the cadillac newsletter as this is the second time I have gotten event invites thru the newsletter
