if you have any MCR free 12pk coke q's, at cvs this wk it's buy 5 at $15, get $5 ecb. i have 5 q's exp 3/31 so $5MM for me! but any amt of q's from 1-5 will sweeten the deal nicely.

my suggestion to Nuffsaid 3 weeks ago now was to change the name of this thread to Chit Chat, and then make a new Target Chat thread in the DS forum. Win-win. We get to keep our thread (however non-use it gets) and maybe the Target deals thread will have less chat it in (and I'm to blame about that recently myself).

find a cvs that will let them auto and you can split the tranny for another card ..maybe even buy something else (not sure how that works at CVS...maybe just buy more coke drool). I only had 2 MCR qs ..but I wonder if they will let me use a 4/$10 RC from the last deal. don't know why I'm holding on to them for so long. I'm not even at Target either.

i'd rather have the thread moved in it's entirety to the drugstore forum. if we have 2 threads one is sure to die totally and it would most likely be this one. moving to the drugstore forum would hopefully pick up some new blood who chat in the other retail threads and are used to finding the chat threads in the drugstore forum. this thread is all by it's lonesome in the lounge and doesn't make any sense in terms of format, alignment and search. nobody can find it b/c all the other chat threads are in a different forum and they would expect the target one to be there also w/ it's corresponding deal thread.

I worked as a financial technician for CNIC (Commander Naval Installations Command) for almost three years before they told me in Aug last year that my position would be eliminated effective FY13 due to budget cuts. This was the same time my hubs was let go from his job at Camp Allen Weapons Range (he worked for MCCS) as well. I scrambled and was lucky that I got picked up by SERCO (me having a valid clearance had a TON to do with it though). So now I work for the same command as a financial analyst (aka reconciling contracts and increasing/decreasing funding) but as a contractor. My salary is enough to pay all the bills, etc while letting my hubby stay home with Keira, but with all this turmoil going on, I'm trying to come up with a backup plan. They haven't told us anything about if our contract will be renewed in April, if/when we may get WARN letters, anything.... the only thing we know is that as of right now, unless a contract mod goes in, we will not be furloughed with the civilians, but if govt shuts down, then we can't work (since we have to have a civilian here for us to be here).

Just a horrible mess all around. I wish they would actually sit down and take this seriously, but both sides have the "my way or the highway" mentality and it's hurting everyone but them. Just my mini-rant for the day.

P.S. I wish I could be home in my pj's, I've been at work since 6 Yawn Lucky duck!

I was closer to DC than you (but would rather not state where [unless in PM]... there aren't that many that moved from that area to Huntsville).

My lazy butt didn't get out of bed this morning, as I forgot to set my alarm before I went to bed last night (I set the alarm when I got up though, so I'll be up in the morning). Just means I'm here later than normal.

They should let you use the Rc and q 's but they may not let it auto by them seeing the price when they enter the Rc.

tx for the heads up! when she scanned the 4th mcr q it went negative, so i quickly said can you void that and i'll just pay cash. i had a 2.00 ecb from the clearance scope crest that was expiring and was going to use it to buy cvs bogo vitamins b/c dh didn't want me to buy more milk. but they only had 1 bottle of the chewable vitamins so i couldn't do that deal. decided to do the kleenex deal instead b/c i also had .50/2 kleenex mq so decent price since both my mom and mil have bad allergies and use tons of tissue. and last month my mom specifically requested over kleenex over scotties.

so i have 2 mcr's q's that i can use w/ bff's card and i will break even on them. well, in reality i just get more crap from cvs but, oh well, those chewable vitamins are expensive. after 2 rounds of those, first from one-a-day target deal and then bogo cvs, i think those will be for dh b/c he can't swallow pills and i'll get reg vitamin pills for me. the multivitamins have much more vitamins and minerals than the chewables anyway and are like 1/4 the price.

I got 5 12pks of Coke Zero and when he scanned the third coupon it beeped and he entered an amount. Which is hard to read on my receipt because it is not printing stuff at the bottom that well. But It was a small mm for me here because I have to pay recycling fee. But worked for me Smilie. I still have 2 more to use up, have to check the expiration date.

Anyone here ever used Orbitz for vacations? What are your experiences with it?

DS was selected to compete in the BPA (Business professionals of America) national competition in May. So we are going to chaperone the trip. I have been looking for deals and found that Orbitz was cheaper than Disney travel by about $50 if we go with the cheaper hotel but we could do an upgraded hotel and it would be about $100 cheaper than Disney quoted.
I have booked thru Disney travel before and it is easy and convenient but with the savings/upgrade I might try Orbitz.
I just need some insight on any potential problems you all may have had with Orbitz.

On another note my DD(20) applied and was accepted yesterday for the Disney College program!!! This will be a huge opportunity for her and we are thrilled for her. However, it will mean another trip in August to move her to Florida.

These 2 trips are costing us ALOT and our budget is taking a huge hit! I am trying my best to hold it together as I plan for the future months. Emotionally and financially!!

We found flights (for the May trip) thru Southwest. Nonstop flights since I have never flown before I figured that was best. Once I get on the plane I don't wont to get off till I get there! lol But they were $640 round trip for 2ppl. I could have gotten a little cheaper thru Delta but would have had to drive to an airport an hour further, with a 1hr 45min layover and plane change in Atlanta.
For the August trip we will have to drive (which is what we have always done) in order to move DD stuff.

I thought that once my kids got older things would get easier. LOL NOT true! Just as expensive and even more stress because you have to let them go on their own journey.

I have used Orbitz in the past with no problems. Check out cash back sites to see if they are listed to get a little money back.
