Not sure if there is anyone on this site from my area but if you are I hope you are doing the catalina deal this week at acme. Also, check out the special K cereal. It's priced 2/$5 and you should have some coupons. They are running a special....buy 2 boxes of special K get a free 1/2 gallon of milk. I did this deal yesterday and when I looked at my receipt, the register took off $3.99 for the milk! Also tried the nestle deal they have advertised. Spend $10 get $3 instant savings at the register. It doesn't look like this worked after carefully examining my receipt. I'm going back today to talk to cs.

wave Hi, pookie! I'm going tonight; didn't know about the SpK deal, so thanks. I'm doing the $15 cat oyno wyb $30 of selected stuff ... the scenario I was planning is this:

7 lb Iams dog food, $10
2 Bisquick 40 oz., 2.50 each
2 Chex mix, 2.00 each
3 Hamburger Helper, 5.00
3 Betty Crocker potatoes, 5.00
Puffs, 1.00

Coupons:
$3 off Iams
.60 off Bisquick x2, and doubled
1.00 off Chex mix x2
1.00 off 3 HHelper
0.35 off potatoes x3 and doubled

Total spent: $19.50, get $15 back. Whee
Hi PhillyJan!! It looks like you calculated your $30 purchase on the sale prices. Not sure if you are aware (b/c I wasn't until yesterday!) but your $30 is actually calculated on the REGULAR price. I can absolutely confirm this as I did 2 deals yesterday. When your picking up your products write down the regular prices and keep a running tab. Taking the regular prices into account, you may be closer to the $60 mark so you may want to bring a few extra coupons or adjust your order once you get there. Good luck and please report back how you made out!

Also, I was at acme today and saw a flyer regarding the iams. Spend $50 get $10 back towards your next iams purchase. I don't think this is a cat deal since it said that your purchases would be tracked for the period specified and that your coupon would print after you made the qualifying purchases. You should be able to tell if this purchase counts by looking at your receipt. They said there would be a running tab printed on your receipt (like shoprite does with the turkey deals). Please stop back and let us know how you make out.

Here is a way to get started with only $4.67 OOP and get the first $15 catalina:

(6) Multi-grain Cheerios
shelf price 3.99 cost 2.00 less (6) .75 IP coupons doubled = 3.00 OOP
(2) Fiber One toaster pastries
shelf price 2.49 cost 2.00 less (2) .75 IP coupons doubled = 1.00 OOP
(1) Betty Crocker Frosting
shelf price 2.39 cost 1.67 less (1) .50 coupons doubled = .67 OOP

Total shelf price was 31.xx.

Now just take that $15 and roll, roll, roll. Nice and slick!
Nice! I would have tried this if I had'nt used all of my coupons! Would have been slick if I could have rolled my cats on another deal but it didn't work. I have $15 that I will save for the next cat deal and try to roll that. Have you been doing this for awhile? Have you been able to roll them? Any info that you can give would be greatly appreciated! I'm new at this and trying to get the hang of it!

The one on New Falls Road in Levittown. I tried first with Tides and no cat....then I tried with the cereal/Chex Mix much the same like your order and no cat again. I had to add some stuff but I am always prepared to do that with Acme as they are very finicky sometimes laugh out loud Nevertheless even sale prices with the right coupons is still a great deal and the fact the cats roll so beautifully make it even sweeter.

Did you buy the right tide? I had the wrong one in my cart at first and had to go back and get the right one. Also, since I live in NE philly I was just wondering, do you know for a fact that you can roll your cats at your levittown acme? More specifically, can you use your cats from the purchase you made today to do another GM/P&G deal? I wasn't able to roll my cats at my acme but I was able to get my cats based on the regular shelf prices.Smilie

Well, that kind of insanity I can get with! LMAO Don't suppose I'd get $30 of cats if I ended up over $60 on the deal (but that sure would be nice!). I may have to split the order in two and use the cats from deal #1 to pay for deal #2 or something ... fortunately I'll have my "recorder" with me (teenage son), who can help me keep track of the math. Cool

Unfortunately, you won't be able to use your cats from your first deal on your second...well you can use it to pay, but you won't get anymore cats for that deal Frown . You will however, get $30 in cats if you reach the $60 mark (regular shelf price). Not sure which acme you frequent, but I did this deal (calculating my total on regular shelf prices) at the acme on redlion rd, academy road and rosevelt blvd. Let us know how you make out!

I have rolled this three times, each on a different day at two different stores. Each order has been slightly different but included a combination of the following:

Multigrain Cheerios, Cheerios, Trix, CocoaPuffs and Golden Grahams(check sizes)
Betty Crocker Frosting, Blueberry Muffin Mixes, Mashed Potatoes
Progresso Light Soup
Fiber One Toaster Pastries

Be sure and check the regular prices as I have found they vary from store to store, even within 2 miles of each other.

I also have been using the self checkouts as it just works out easiest to watch the regular prices as sometimes they are different than what is marked on the shelf too. Then you need to do some quick figurin'.

I just want to be sure that I am understanding what you did so forgive me if this is redundant....So, you made your first purchase, got your cats, then did another purchase at another store, used your cats to pay and got more? Also, did you calculate your $30 on the regular shelf prices? Oh, and one more, are you doing these deals at acme markets in the philly area? I made 3 purchases at 3 different acme markets in the philly area and was unable to roll my cats from the first deal. I could use them to pay for my orders but I did not get any additional cats. I did calculate my $30 on the shelf price and that worked fine it was just the rolling that I was not able to do. I'm finding that different stores/areas work differently so that is why I'm asking so many questions. Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated!!!worship

Head Bang Oy, not real well.

I bought Iams dog food ($10), Green Giant veg ($10), BC potatoes ($5), and 2 Chex mix ($4)--those are the sale prices, so the "shelf prices" were well over $30. I had about $12 in coupons on these things, and I bought other stuff. No cats. The cashier said that if your total on the sale items went below $30 after coupons, the cats wouldn't print.

To make a VERY long story short, they had to rering my order and then credit me separately for the coupon values. It took me about half an hour to check out. EEK! The cashier and manager were super-patient, though. And I got a raincheck because there was no Bisquick. :-(

Oy, that stinks! The coupon thing didn't make a difference where I did my deals. I only went over the $30 mark by $1-2 dollars and then used coupons for each product. Did you do this at an acme in philly or the suburbs? I ask this b/c it's helpful, I hope, for us all to share the info that we gather...Glad you got it straightened out though! Just sucks that it took so much time.

Blair Mill (Horsham) Acme. And I was flummoxed because I've done Catalina deals there in the past, and coupons never affected the cats printing in the past. I'll have to check out the Acme in Lansdale to see if they're programmed differently. The cashier at Blair Mill said two of the cashiers couldn't get the cats to print when they did this deal and used coupons that dropped their price (on the deal items) below $30.

Plus, I bought a $10 bag of dog food and my receipt says I have $2 towards the $50 Iams promo. WTH? OMG

Did you get your cats? Confused Also, are you sure that the products you bought were the specific ones posted in the circular? The tide thing was a bit confusing b/c not all of the 100z bottles were included in the deal. Most, if not all, cashiers don't even know about the whole "shelf price" thing so I'm not sure that they would know how coupons affect the deal. Just my thoughts....I spent most of the day "testing" the waters with this so maybe I'm just reading too much into it. heart

Oh, I'd definetely go back about the iams thing. That's bull! I got beat yesterday on my Nestle deal (buy $10 get $3 instant savings at checkout) but I went back today and they fixed it. Was the Iams part of the promo too? Was that the right size? I'm just trying to figure out why it didn't work, especially since you said you've done them before. Just out of curiosity, how much was the regular price of the dog food and the chex?

I did this in the Philly area back and forth at two stores about 3 miles apart. Each store had different shelf prices on the same items so I had to recalculate as I needed to buy one more item at one store than I did at the other.

I got cats all three times and used the ones from the prior order to "pay" for the next. Usually I had to buy something else to get to use all $15. Nice way to pay nothing for some other items that seldom go on sale.

Sometimes some items are missed and not programmed into the promo. I did not buy any P & G items so I cannot comment on that deal as it specifically states it cannot roll onto their products although it sounds like some areas have been able to.

The best I can say is that it varies from store to store.
