This is the CVS Coupon Discussion thread for questions, scenarios & chat for all coupons (including Manufacturers) that can be used at CVS.

This is the only thread due to the fact another thread that had CVS coupons only turned into a begging thread and was full of abuse.

Yes it is linked to the card which you gave during registration.
Actually, the last few times I used a survey ECB, I used different cards, so it should work on ANY card. The last time I did this (last week) I didnt have that card with me (my name is spelled slightly different on a few different cards) and it worked just fine on my other card.

it may work, but it seems like a bad idea to do, because ecbs get tracked by card number and so this would likely attach the two cards together and merge the ecbs. EEK!

that is unless survey ecbs work differently in that they aren't tracked by card (hghly unlikely) but i realize that is your hope.

Using a survey ECB with the wrong card will likely cause your surveys to cease

Er...I doubt doing something like that could ever "attach 2 cards together." laugh out loud

Also, I don't think any 13-digit CVS Qs are ever attached to a card. And I seem to remember the survey EBs being 13-digit? That said, I'm not condoning purposefully using any EBs on a card they're not meant for - but for those folks fretting about not remembering which card was signed up with which email, etc., I honestly doubt there'd be any ill effects if the EBs ended up being used on the wrong card.

As far as I can tell, only the 9-digit and some 12-digit CVS Qs are tracked by card.

If my OOP is more than 50 cents, I like to use an e-gc (from the buy $25, get $5 free promo). This morning I handed over my $10 e-gc (the balance is less than that though, since I've been using it... you know, like an actual gift card!). The cashier didn't want to scan it... finally she did and it beeped. I think because she was trying to scan it as a coupon. I asked her if she had chosen gift card as the payment method. She said, I can try but then didn't scan the gc... she didn't want to hear it!

She said because I didn't know the exact balance of the gc, she couldn't take it. lolwhut? So I had to put it on my card. Boo. I would have stood my ground but I had to go to work and there was a line forming behind me.

While this was the first time a cashier wouldn't accept the e-gc, this isn't the first time cashiers have been confused since it looks "different" from a regular gc. Is it worth contacting corporate to just educate the cashiers? I know it didn't hurt me at all, but it's really inconvenient... this is why I bought the e-gcs in the first place! What do you think? This happened 2 or 3 times to me and then I contacted Corp about it. They sent me a real GC with the balance.

I have used them on different cards with no problems as well. My cards have slightly different spellings tooLMAO Not that I intentionally just want to use it on another cards, I sometimes can't remember and just give it a guess.. haven't had beeps and I am still getting surveys.. Just got a 15.00 one last week..SO, I would agree with Kalanchoe that I don't think they attach to a card.

I would love to get the Tylenol Precise CRT! It will be good to use on this deal starting 7/04:
Tylenol Precise $5.99 + $2 EB
- $1 off (https://www.tylenol.com/vcrc/mana...l?oid=5315)
= $4.99 + $2 EB

yes, it's a good idea to contact corporate... because stores need to be educated. i bought my e-gcs in december and in 6 months of using them, i never ever ever came across a single manager or cashier that knew how to use it. that being said i did find two great managers who figured out how to use it and taught me so i could teach cvs employees Scratchhead

when you are ready to pay, on their screen they need to select form of payment gift card, and then with the handheld scanner scan the bar code on the e-gc print out. it will charge the card and the screen on the debit/credit card slider thing will show you your remaining balance on the card also. helpful cashiers at one of my stores would always write the date and remaining balance for me onto the pc of paper.

BUT, other option is, if you have a helpful store, just go and get them to balance transfer it onto a hard card for you. one of my stores offered that to me, but by that time the card had about 0.84c left on it so i said nahhhhh, i'll use this up and cashier laughed and said, yeah, that'll probably take you another dozen transactions. LMAO

So no one got a $/$$ off coupon for this week yet? I've been holding off on my deals for this week - hoping that a $/$$ is posted.
