To Protest Hiring of Nonunion Help, Union Hires Nonunion Pickets
Talk about freaking hypocrisy !!!! OMG, this is too freaking funny. Ummm, so why is it that when a business pays someone minimum wage for unskilled labor, they are mean, nasty and oppressive yet when Unions hire people for the same minimum wage (and no benefits), they are "helping people who are in a difficult situation." |

What's the other labor pool here besides the paid protesters? How much do the union members earn while they're picketing? Is there a union for protesters from which the other unions could hire? They are using "temp" labor in a PR move to look "strong". It's a pretty stupid move, IMHO. If you can't get out the actual support for 150 picket lines, you shouldn't be trying to run 150 picket lines. Sometimes, you have to choose your battles. But apparently, enough members in those particular unions either think it's a good idea or don't care enough to know that it's happening. ETA: I feel very unloved that nobody mentioned me earlier. ![]()

As much as the righties love to get a kick out this....
Lets see.. they are paying someone $10/hr to stand around and carry a sign... WOW they sure are cheapos ...... ![]() $10/hr to stand around ...b.s with friends and carry signs.... and the righties find something wrong with that...LOL Of course the righties don't find a problem when the big corporate bosses are pocketing 25X times the amount they pay their average worker... When rich corporate america don't pay their fair taxes, but when they go belly up, the taxpayer need to bail them out At least these union workers are able to pay someone a fair wage for easy work...... unlike their corporate greedy bosses who pay people peanuts for their HARD back-breaking work, Ask your local immigrant farm worker, landscaper, construction worker...etc etc etc.. Have fun knocking the union worker... while the big corporate thieves continue their business as usual |

This article is pretty freakin amusing. Do what I say, not what I do.
maybe the picketers should create a union and demand x2 their current wage with benefits. Of course if the picketers union ever went on strike, who would they hire to picket for them?? |

I hear ya, look at these greedy corporate bosses and their thievery - they hate unions
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.†- President Barack Obama

They are paying them the lowest they legally can. How is that a "fair wage"?? |

<---- Not a fan of unions for anything other than advocating safe working conditions.
It should be a company's choice who they hire, and the benefits they receive. It should also be an individuals choice to join or not join a union. Choosing to not join one shouldn't limit someone from where they can be employed I Don't Know I'm Still Thinking!
