We didn't own slaves, and today's blacks never were slaves. Even if you want to go to civil rights, that was 50 years ago so many of us weren't even born let alone involved in any type of discrimination. Repaying blacks that weren't discriminated against at the expense of whites who didn't discriminate makes absolutely no sense.
As I've said countless times before: If anyone really cared about racial equality and looking past the color of a person's skin they'd have to get rid of all this bullshit first. If black people are not less qualified for things, why do we need affirmative action type programs and quotas in colleges? If they are less qualified, why should we not look down on them? After all, we are better than them if they need these programs to compete. Then again, who really wants equality when you can benefit from inequality? Last edited by pyro008; 07-23-2010 at 07:22 PM..

If you truly think discrimination is a thing of the past, you should have no problem making the trade..... |

After all, I am better than them.
Demographic Estimates Whites = 65 - 70% of the population. Blacks = 12% of the population. What percentage of white and black students who graduated summa cum laude from the top 10 colleges in this country are CEO's? A significant number of Blacks begin life at a much lower starting point than the the White American majority. It's common for parents to want the best for their children, which is why I feel fortunate to be white. __________________ - It dives and it jumps and it ripples like the deepest ocean.
