Egg-faced Howie Kurtz admits, but tries to minimize, he left off Foxnews.com's role in Sherrod firing.

Howie's mia culpa comes after Fox News Senior VP Michael Clemente acknowledged there was a "breakdown" that allowed Foxnews.com to run the Shirley Sherrod' story before she resigned.

Howie's "I forgot the foxnews.com hit job."

Clemente's acknowledgement that the Fox News directive to investigate Breitbart's claim did not make it to Foxnews.com and they published the hit job before Ms. Sherrod resigned.

Not the hit job that Foxnews.com presented. They were the first, they were the loudest, they were the ones to call USDA for comment and to alert USDA of the tape, and they were the most obnoxious with it. Others acted as journalists, foxnews.com acted as propoaganda machine.

Yes it was closed. However, in the last thread, someone posted a Howie Kurtz article as proof that Fox News (or it subsidiaries) had nothing to do with the firing. Howie just admitted in that article he left off a key fact; Foxnews.com published the piece before she was fired.

So I had to bring this information to light so the slickdeals record is not incomplete, erronious, fact challenged, and not up to date. You all don't need to thank me for keeping slickdeals.net up to date on this issue, and I am sure the moderators appreciate presenting all the facts.

Foxnews.com wasn't being a "news organization" when they made that call. They did no investigation and they relied on a known fabricator. Government Press Offices don't need to waste their time commenting on BS.

They posted an article about a story, then asked for a commend from the USDA and the NAACP. You're right, they should have just made something up like the NYT or CNN instead of trying to follow through on the story.

And you conveniently left out the fact that the Atlanta Journal Constitution had an article on it as well prior to Sherrod getting fired.

But hey, let's go ahead and play this game.

FoxNews.COM had one single article about the piece. They had the same farking video that everyone else ended up seeing initially. The same farking video that CNN, MSNBC and others discussed.

The same farking video that the OBama administration saw and afterwards, demanded Sherrod's resignation.

The same farking video that the NAACP saw before they issued a press release denouncing Sherrod.

In short, Foxnews.COM saw the exact same things that other "liberal" organizations saw and they reached the same farking conclusion that said "liberals" reached.

Was Foxnews.COM supposed to somehow end up with a different take or interpretation of the video ??
