You can sign up immediately as long as you don't owe them money.

Are you trying to take advantage of a promotion? If so the promotion may have limitations, such as you can't be a prior comcast customer for 90 days, etc etc...

cheap, fast, good - pick any two.

PSA: Yahoo email is extremely insecure...switch to Gmail if you can!! Hotmail is better but not as good as Gmail.

If you are trying for promotions, comcast chats have been very successful for me even as a current customer. Big Grin

Don't think there's any set time they shut off your service, just whenever they get around to it.

If you're trying to take advantage of a promotion for new customers, you have to wait 60 or 90 days before you're "new" again. You can try with a different name (a roommate?), but I found that's a hassle - especially if you call to sign up the day after you canceled.

Not having much luck in Chicago. $19/month HSI deal expired along with free HBO and free equipment discounts. Chatted and talked to multiple CSRs and the retention department, who basically said, you gotta do what you gotta do. In the past, chats worked great to reduce bills.

So might actually have to cancel and resign up in 60 days or so.
