Free Verizon Wireless Extender, Improve Cell Phone Reception in your house. (High Speed Connection Required)

+20 Deal Score

After a Co-Worker told me how he got his for free. I tried the same thing and low and behold, I now have a Network Extender and no extra cost. It takes about 1-2 weeks for everything to go through.

Cell phone service with Verizon Required. (Thats the purpose of the extender, to improve your cell reception with Verizon within your home)
High Speed Internet Connection Required. (Does not have to be through Verizon)

If you don't have good Verizon coverage within your home, follow these steps.

1. Fill out the survey. Here [verizonwireless.com] (This site tends to go offline a lot, keep trying). I think it grabs the cookies from your VerizonWireless.com account, because I remember not having to sign in and wondering "how do they know who I was". But no worries. Follow the next step.
2. You will recieve a phone call from your local store manager, referencing the survey and wanting to know how he can make your experience better.
3. Tell him you are dropping calls all the time within your home and you are tired of going outside all the time.
4.Tell him you don't feel you should have to pay more money on top of your already expensive monthly charges to use a service you ALREADY pay for.
5.The manager will (as I understand, this is protocol) consult technicians in the local area to see if there are network difficulties affecting your area.
6. You will get another phone call later on. Mine was about 12 days later because he went on vacation.
7. He confirmed there were no network difficulties in my area and that they would have a Network Extender waiting for me at my local Verizon store.
8. Go in, give them your cell number. Pick up your extender.
9. Enjoy!!!!

I would log into your verizonwireless account before clicking the link in the 1st step.

PLEASE POST YOUR RESULTS/PROGRESS/LOCATION

Paw Paw, MI - Did survey, received first call next day. Recieved 2nd call 12 days later. Went to local store and picked up extender day after.
Lawton, MI - Did survey, recieved first call next business day(monday). Received 2nd call 3 days later. Went to local store and picked up extender day after.
Kalamazoo, MI - Did Survey, recieved first call. Received 2nd call. Supposedly there were network difficulties in my area that were resolved. Hopefully reception is better now.
Central Florida - Did survey, received call from District manager. He is checking into getting a free extender. Received Followup call. Getting a free extender delivered and installed!
Somewhere, MD - Did Survey, recieved call next. recieved followup call 2 hours later. Picked up at local store.

Filling out a negative Survey for our company may be a good way of getting your point across. However it is manipulation of a product that cost all other customers money (including employees). If you do have a poor reception and can prove it from dropped calls on occasion we may or may not do a free network extender. I would suggest not filling out a survey and calling us directly. How is this manipulation if you really are dropping calls continuously at home? Would you recommend a service that works poorly???
There seems to be much more response to the negative surveys as apposed to the call center reps. Getting a call from your local area seems to get you someone that actually cares and knows about the area on a local level, whereas calling into customer support, they really don't seem to care. The surveys also reflect on a higher level whats going on, whereas on a customer service level, once you hang up, your situation is easily forgotten and not put into statistics to get results.

The Network Extender Keeps You Connected
You need to keep connected indoors and out. This device is equipped with a host of features that will keep you on the line, connected and secure.

Bring Our Network Home

The Network Extender enables you to make calls from indoor locations where outdoor cellular coverage does not reach. The Network Extender works like a miniature cell phone tower in your home providing enhanced coverage for up to a 5,000 square foot area
Use Your Verizon Wireless Phone
There is no need for a new phone. The Network Extender is compatible with ALL Verizon Wireless phones as well as some handsets from many of the nation's leading carriers.
Simple Setup and Management
Easy to install. Plug into your high−speed Internet connection and place near a window. Sign in to My Verizon to create your optional managed access list.
Network Extender Features
With the Network Extender, you can begin a call on the Network Extender network and enjoy uninterrupted transition to the nearest cell tower when leaving the Network Extender coverage area, provided alternative coverage is available.
Online Management in My Verizon
Network Extender access can be set to fit your needs. Just sign in to My Verizon to set the Network Extender preferences that are right for you. Your device is set to Open Access by default, allowing three devices to connect to the Network Extender without restrictions. Designate Verizon Wireless callers to receive priority access to the Network Extender network. By setting your network up in My Verizon for managed access you can designate as many as 50 Verizon Wireless numbers. Where a compatible cell tower is unavailable, other callers may access the Network Extender when not in use by priority callers. All callers may access the Network Extender for emergency (E911) calls, even if the mobile number is not on the managed access list.

Site appears to be down temporarily again. Frown

It will probably be back up in the morning. It seems to go down quite often.

I figured it was implied that this was for those of us without good coverage inside our homes.

People are already voting TD for unable to replicate deal....

Wait at least 48 hours after you take the survey before you vote, it DOES work.

Too bad I didn't know about this a couple months ago. I paid $99 for one thru Verizon phone CSR after multiple calls trying to get it for free.

Good find for those on Verizon. But giving Verizon's ridiculously strong network coverage, is this really necessary?

I believe this unit only handles data at the non-3G speeds.
