Shopkick kickbucks UPC Scan Codes

Ahh I'm scared! I was forced to update this morning and I did my normal daily routine afterwards ( I have the original droid...I have multiple accounts and I only do scans. No walk-ins, no fake location, etc...) so I just clicked on the shopkick app and behold, there it was... the infamous orange "hold on" warning. Noooooo, I don't want to get bannnned.

The problem is you have multiple accounts, that's why you've been flagged and eventually all your accts. will get banned.

With the new updates (Android & iPhone)... you can only have 1 account per device per phone #. Logging in and out between multiple accounts will get you banned.

Seems like they've increased scan times at least on one of my accounts.

They also have a beta right now. A Products tab, seems pointless.

xRavenx, do you know this for a fact though? I'm just curious about how you figured that out. I'm increasing my activities little by little everyday (full regular activities on 1.25 or prior, then cut back almost all when upgraded to 1.26, and slowly increasing back up again as I go). So far it's working fine for me but I'm wondering about the multiple accounts.

Ugh that sucks! I didn't do ANTHING different so i know its because of the update. I have a different email address/phone number for each account and have been a shopkick user for maybe three weeks. Is it possible to go back to a different version? If so, how do I go about doing that? Anybody know?

Why would Shopkick ban anyone for having multiple accounts if they give you the option to log in and out of your account?

I'm sure their intention was one user per device, but they probably considered that two people could be using the same device, etc.

If they didn't want anyone abusing the system, that option shouldn't even be available.

I agree, it's like a video game company adding in cheats to the normal menu that every gamer can see and then people cry about it when players actually use the cheats. Well duh if it's there people are going to use it.

Maybe it's a bad analogy, but the ability to log in and out is built right into the app and I have several different telephone numbers so why not use it?

Besides if they only allow one account, I'd uninstall this app in a heartbeat my first account has practically no more scans that even work. Everything is at the 30-day limit except like 2 10-point scans. I don't spoof to cheat on walk-ins and here in LA I went to several different Best Buys and Targets and stood around the entrance like a freaking moron trying to get the walkins to work to no avail which was a complete waste of my time.(Android/DroidX) Other than that all I can do is drive around for checkins for 1 or 2 points that maybe gets me like 25 or so points, so it would be pointless (pun intended) to even have the app installed imho.

I was banned for checking to AZ stores for a week! But I was on VACATION! and for scanning when it said I was .3 miles from the store. Not my issue if A) the gps is wrong (which happens to me a lot) and B) if you want people IN the store then right your program to lock scans unless they're a certain distance from the store!!!

I emailed them. I'll let you know what the powers that be say!

if you looks at the difference between the latest update and the prior version the new version states that it is looking at your known accounts....looks like there is a serious crack down on multiple accounts

I literally had to uninstall and reinstall 4 different times just to do my scans on 1 account. This is getting ridiculous.

Yea I'm cashing out while i can, It looks like with old versions when you do a fresh install it will not force the update until the focus is removed from the shop kick app... once that happens you'll have to do a fresh install but I am not even able to get checkin K's or scans on older versions. Once I cash them all out I plan on starting fresh with one new account

All i know is they are going to hate me at best buy because I have over 20 codes to redeem

Check out the iPhone app call "CardBank" which allows you to generate your own barcode with the Best Buy certificate number which allows them to just scan it at the register. It works, cause my friend did it. It's just a barcode generating software, pretty cool.

I guess i'll have to cash out on whatever i have and then make a brand new account for the updated version. I just hope it still doesn't say my version isn't upgraded.
