HELP!!! How to remove dd-wrt from linksys wrt400n?

Like a noob I flashed the router with this firmware w/out realizing I cant just flash it "off".
Anyone know how to remove the firmware from the router?
I've tried using the instructions on the dd-wrt website but it doesn't work for me.

TIA!

Browsed a bit and found this thread. Looks like you may have to join/login to the site to get the needed file though. Good luck!

If you're not happy with dd-wrt, you might want to look at Tomato. I've been using it on my Linksys WRT54G for quite awhile, and i like it more than dd-wrt. It's very stable and also a little more user friendly.

Link: http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato
See this FAQ on upgrading to Tomato from dd-wrt [polarcloud.com] (you'll still need to know how to upgrade firmware in the dd-wrt environment).

good luck!

I used both. Tomato is more user friendly. It has less menus. I am running dd-wrt (because of router).

Since the file is an attachment to a post on the forum, you just need to make an account on the forum to see attachments. There's no cost or anything.
