Installed new Kazaa lite k++
I just installed the new kazaa lite version which was released a few days ago, and now some links don't work for me. I had already done that faq thing where you delete some lines, and since i had installed the new kazaa, I tried deleting the lines again, but none of them came back (none of the lines which are supposed to be deleted came back).Anybody know a solution? :| Last edited by Lav; 09-07-2003 at 03:39 PM.. |

Yes, you have to edit a file that kazaa modifies.

No, i know about the editing thing. I had this problem b4 and done the editing, which fixed the problem.
But I just installed a new version of Kazaa which caused me to start getting the problems again. I tried attempting the editing again, but all of the lines the faq told me to take out were still gone. |

Well, then you might try to uninstall kazaa and see if you regain your browsing functionality.
Otherwise, you might have to look for something in the reg. |

Looks like nobody is getting peranoid with the RIAA lawsuit.
I guess the key is to download quickly, disconnect, change userid. Maybe share a handful of files vs. many. I like winMX myself. Any good tweeks on this to max its performance? I keep messing with #downloaders/uploaders, and the bandwidth settings to see if I can max it out. |

Trust me, they aren't going by your "username". this horrible tatoo called your IP is logged. Also, I know that in older versions winMX had no uninstall feature. Also, winMX and kazaa are all SPYWARE.
Its also not a matter of Kazaa being the mp3 network, its all P2P networks. So, stop pirating and become a model citizen and pay for proper licensing. |
