I picked up the hand-picked VG Remington Model 7600 from my local pawn shop that I had it transfer to and was extremely disappointed. J&G Sales uses their own grading scale to misrepresent the used guns they have for sale. The Remington Model 7600 they sent me was 50-60% NRA ....large wear gouges down to the metal in in receiver, extreme wear with bare metal exposed on barrel, receiver and sights, the weapon would not pump cycle without force. The synthetic stock was severely scratched with paper stuck to gooey degraded buttpad.

I immediately called, got a RMA, and shipped it back. Gotta eat the transfer fee and shipping. Lesson learned about J&G Sales.

Buyer beware!

I saw this online earlier and wondered if there'd be any interest in it. The magazine capacity is 4 rounds, and the action is somewhat unpopular anymore for a combat/tactical gun.

I've shot Remington slide action rifles before (my uncle had one in .30-06 as a deer gun, might be the same model, not sure) and I think they're fantastic guns, very high quality, accurate and this model has some nice upgrades (Wilson Combat/night sights, synthetic furniture). However, with a good bolt action .308 starting at $250 (for a no-frills Savage, cheaper if you don't mind a surplus Mauser for $150ish), and a battle rifle semi-auto .308 starting at $450-600 or so (CETME, FAL, Saiga, etc), I wonder if there's much of a market for something like this.

TU and repped regardless, it's a high quality gun at a very good price.

I love firearms and firearms deals, but a pump action .308?? Whats the point?

JG has a high price for a mediocre item, everything is back to normal.

Where hunting is illegal with semi-autos, a pump is a better option for follow-up shots than a bolt-action.

I agree, and these are very good guns for hunting, it's just not the best choice for a tactical gun, which is how this is set up. The night sights, for example, are kind of useless for hunting.

I think most would prefer a bolt or semi auto for anything tactical, depending on the situation.
