Can I use a flood-shaped light bulb in a lamp that asks for "type A"?
Hey guys, I have a desk lamp that asks for a type A 60 watt bulb, but I would like to use a flood bulb I have that actually has a fluourescent light inside and it is much brighter. It's 14w, which is equivalent to 65watt incandescent (although I believe that's just in terms of intensity, not power use). The flood bulb is not "type A" in shape. My question essentially is...can I use a non type-A shape bulb in the lamp if the wattage is the same or lower?
