Planning a spring break road trip - start in Illinois Our spring break is the first week of March, so going anywhere north means snow and cold, and we plan on camping, so this wouldn't go so well. We're both runners (thus outdoorsy) so seeing museums the entire time aren't super high on our list. Ideas on where to go? It's like 4 hours away from that area, it'll be remotely warm in March like it was when I grew up there, and you can pick your spots in line with your political beliefs. Example: camp in Makanda, IL (a village outside right next to cdale) and you can experience nature at Giant City park. You'll be chillin' with hippies. Or If you're more of the fishing type and dislike the thought of hippies...then you can camp out in crab orchard which is about 10-20 miles outside of cdale. Either way, you'll have your share of deers like normal, a nearby college town to talk to the ladies (unless you scheduled it during SIU's spring break), biking and running trails, and will save travel time and gas money. Because honestly man....just knowing where you're located....there aren't going to be many places that will offer much of anything better without the comfort of being near a safe place nearby. You can keep it in state and help attribute to Illinois' horrible economy |

Can't forget these:
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On.
You act as if there is some virtue in living a long flavorless life. My excesses will kill me, but they have made my life worth living. Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard. |
