Check:

http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx

for the position of the antenna and whether NBC is available in your area.
Use an antenna and a USB TV Tuner card or the TV with an antenna.
There are several antennas and tuner cards that go on sale here from time to time.
I get about 50 channels with a USB TV Tuner and a HD antenna.

I have Directv and Off The Air for local "Western NBC" working perfect in my house, I want to watch "Eastern NBC" live because of the delays, 3 hours different, from NBC. I want to watch "Chase" at 7pm here in CA, not 10pm.

There are some free internet TV programs you can install on the computer.
Also there are NBC streaming live services.
That might work.

To clarify, the "Chase" will air at 10pm Eastern Time (7pm CA time) but I can't watch it until 10pm CA time because of the delay: I want to watch it at 7pm CA time. Remember the Winter Olympic?

If you live on the east coast.

@OP.

You need a friend on the east coast that is on cable, and not DTV...use their address for a SHIPTO address and still keep your BILL TO address as your home.

the BIG IF is that you need to point your dish at a East Coast DTV Bird that has the local programming on it.

I used to live in the SF Bay Area and now live in the Sacramento Area...I did the above, kept my old address as the shipto and just moved the bill to address.

The local stations for the Bay and Sacto were on the same bird so it was all good.

Commercial vs. Residential....

If you want to pay the big bucks that MGM is paying...yeah...no worries...but I see how and why you were able to do it....and it is very cool.

I think that DVR's have made being a half or full day behind no big deal...so that is something else for the op to consider...waiting 12~18 hrs

If you have some friend/family on the east coast you could always ask to set up a sling box at their house.

slingbox would work, if you had some connection to the east coast.

Also, it's not live but most TV shows have torrents that show up about 5 mins after the show ends.

Is there a way to watch it live on the internet? I know the screen size is small but better than waiting 3 hours later to watch.
