Be thankful you can't get hooked up to UVerse. I was with Comcast for years b4 they sold out to TWarner, and I never once had to call Comcast tech support. I switched to UVerse and was on the phone every week for the first two months. Terrible service. I finally FIRED AT/T for I/Net - they claim it wasn't DSL on UVerse, but it is.

Do we need a promo code for this?

No promo needed for me. Go through the process like you're editing your services and it'll show 3 months free next to the HBO/Cinemax boxes.

They're also offering a 1-month Movie package free - Showtime, Starz, etc. Just signed up for both - thanks, OP!

I have Uverse right now and I like it a lot more than my old Comcast cable tv. Never had Comcast internet because they limit your bandwidth usage per month.

If you ask me, the bandwidth limit is one of the most criminal things they can do. Try to make you think it is unlimited internet until you read the fine print. They also get after people for using torrents and such. I am happy to be rid of comcast, their dvrs are the worst as well.

+1 with uverse for over a year and almost never needed to call tech support.

They are A LOT more flexible than TWC was wrt pricing and have generous cashback when I signed up. We don't have Verizon fios in our neighborhood otherwise I'd get them in a heart beat.

IMHO Verizon FIOS > att uverse > TWC

In addition they are offering The Sports Package free for 1 month.

Just updated my account with both changes (the 3 months of HBO/Cinemax and above) Smilie

WTF? Uverse is VDSL.

So do I just log back in after the 3 months are up & remove HBO in order to avoid being charged?

I had U-Verse...moved eight blocks away & U-Verse isn't in the area....now I'm stuck with Comcast (and there fluctuating charges) for the time being until AT&T gets a move on. Ironically, U-Verse customer service thought I could get service at my new place but only the cabling is running past my house...
