wave Welcome!! wave

Please DO NOT edit the wikis!!

Please post any new printable coupons or any changes to those already listed, and we'll add them to the wikis. Making changes to the wikis can cause the wiki to crash or a loss of data.

MAKING PRETTY LINKS:
-To make a link only appear as one word like "Print", in the Edit box, type your description. Then type the word, "print", doubleclick on that word "print" to highlight it only, and then click on the Attachment 474881 icon (Insert Link). Then in that popup box, paste in the actual url address and click OK.

Another explanation to making pretty links on Slickdeals:
  • Just type a word like "Print".
  • Highlight the word "Print" with your cursor.
  • Click on this image Attachment 474881 on the above toolbar. A box will pop up.
  • Paste your hyperlink (URL) in the empty field and hit ok. Voila!

Glad to hear it isn't just me, I've been going bonkers trying to figure it out. Hope SS gets it fixed as these are starting to look like counterfeits that someone pieced together and I'm afraid the stores are going to think the same thing.
SS has been weird for me for a week or so (overlapping areas, missing areas, etc.), and now this morning when I printed the BOGO Honest Tea (bricks) it printed the bar code (no numbers - just the lines) and the border of the q on one page, then on a second page, printed all the words and numbers... very bizarre. Starting to need to do a cost/benefit and risk analysis before printing coupons... how badly do I want this q, how much ink is it going to cost me if it prints wacky vs. how much $ will I save on the product if it prints correctly... laugh out loud

pennywise, you can try to see if your printer software has an option in the advanced options that allows for a preview before printing. I turned it on mine a while back and it does allow you the ability to see these Qs before they print and might help in this situation. However, I had to turn it off as it was creating queue issues for my printer with my work which I do off this PC as well.

I wonder if SS is aware of this problem...

I really appreciate the work it takes to add these to the Q DB, but I would suggest waiting to add printables unless they are pdfs with a set expiration. Otherwise, we're populating the database with bad data by faking out the expiration dates.

(Note to others that may not be aware: at this time, they are requiring an expiration date and there is no option for "rolling". The only suggestion we've been given is to make up a date out in the future.)

I have put in an enhancement request for this - however, it's not planned at this point to be addressed.

Per the developer SP33DFR34K:

This is what I'm trying to emphasize, I'm aware it won't work for everything. But a lot of people dismiss it just because it can't do everything. It was never intended to do everything (at least the first iteration). If this product gets some utility and we see people using it, then we can start allocating resources to this product to make it better.

yes, but when you are late to the starting gate, your widget has to be better and badder than others to get people to change over to yours. cuz why should they use yours if yours is starts out underdeveloped?

i guess i'll be sticking to the coupon database over at hcw. until i hear sd's is so much better than hcw, which already has *rolling*, there is no reason for me to use it. and cpnmom is supposed to be even better than hcw w/ being able to do regional q's.

they are trying to reinvent the wheel but they are making it w/ corners.

maybe that's why sd has been so buggy lately.

I think if we don't add anything, the database will never be used - and like catch 22, it's not used developers think it's useless so why invest their time into fixing it.

I'm currently adding notations to the IPs, *ROLLING EXP DATE* or *ROLLING EXPIRATION DATE* giving the longest expiration date I can for those IPs... expiring 2/6/2106 so it won't be hidden when "expired".

I know it's frustrating, but I understand both sides of the spectrum...

When something is gone/dead everyone can now edit the coupons so they can go in to either put the word *DEAD* on the description or contact them to delete it. We have to work with what we have right now... if we continue to wait for the developers to give us what works exactly for us, I'm afraid that'd be never.

For those of you who got those $4 coupons for the freshmatic ultra kits but could not use them at publix or wags because they were hard to find there is a strange deal at dollar general that may work.

airwick freshmatic ultra refill+free freshmatic kit- $4.50

I am not quite getting the free kit or if they are all in one box but I have a feeling they are selling the whole freshmatic ultra kit and have just priced it as a sale item and the same price as their refills so they are calling the kit free. Good way to pick some up for .50.

I'm definitely not saying don't add anything. If it works for you on the inserts and tearpads and peelies, that's great and it makes sense to add those. But this is not built for printables at this point.

Won't that extra verbiage to workaround that problem make more work for you in the end? If they do correct it, then you've got that text in all the descriptions to remove. If they don't and anyone wants to copy and paste it into a matchup with deals, then you have to cut out all that. I guess a copy/paste won't work anyway because it won't copy the link information that way. Hmm.

ALLEGRA 30 or 45 ct or ALLEGRA-D 12 Hour 20 ct or 24 Hour 10 ct - ZIP 90210 - *ROLLING EXPIRATION DATE* $4.00 1 02-06-2106 Printable

Anyway, it's your call on what you want to do. I just hate to see you do all that work, noungning, and then have to clean them all up later if it does get changed.
