Okay...
Schooby... (and everyone else) I'm sorry for the little temper tantrum. I was under the influence of too much Heritage Dr. Pepper. LoL! Congrats to the winner. Now I just need to find a good deal on a nintendo Wii. LoL! Y'all are goin DOWN next year!! ![]() D (Old news) My "puppy" is named Teddy. He is 12 years old. my wife and I have been together for 14 years. He is our only child. He is suffering from "congestive heart failure". It's only a matter of time. 12 years has not been enough. This is just my way of thanking him for being in our lives.
----EDIT: Teddy passed on feb 18th 2006 at 10:00 am. it's the worst pain i've ever felt. We love you Teddy. update: we have a new dog. a black goldendoodle named Abby. |

If we're making rules suggestions for next year, I think there ought to be a minimum of homemade/homesewn items in the costume. I don't think entirely storebought costumes belong in costume contests. I am thrilled to have won a t-shirt and sweatshirt (the sweatshirt is super awesome quality incidentally). However, I am sad though that some of the other top entries were entirely storebought costumes with nothing new added or changed. I would like to have seen more homemade things rewarded.
I am super happy the top winner was a homemade work with beautiful makeup skills. That Navi was well-done! -Sonya
I solemnly swear I am up to no good. My baby girl Nicola Tesla arrived on 5/27/10! She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 21 inches long. |

Yours was adorable by the way. 'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.'

. I'm glad you liked mine . I do admit I made mine before Halloween (I didn't think that was disallowed). I'm a con-goer and my whole family has Avatar the last Airbender costumes. Hubbie does Iroh, I do Ursa (Azula and Zuko's mom), I have another older daughter who cosplays Azula (she even made her own costume), and her best friend plays Katara (in another costume my daughter made). Sadly, not everyone would agree to get dressed for the picture though. I love entering costume contests but honestly the sweatshirt and t-shirt is my biggest costume win yet . Hooray for SD! I am constantly happy I lucked into finding this site.A pic of my older daughter and son from Dragoncon (baby was too cranky to be in the shot). http://photos.dragoncon.org/main....ewsIndex=1 I'm already looking forward to next year. I'm thinking either Steampunk crossover or Hawkgirl and other JLU folks. Can you tell I'm a geek ?At one point I had an idea about a bad pun for this contest. I was picturing a Priest holding a mock bible marked "Slick deals Bible" and yelling at money (i.e. "Saving" it). Aren't you glad I didn't go with it?
